"Samento" Herbal Treatment for Lyme Disease

Has anyone tried the herb Samento to treat their Lyme Disease?

I am new to this forum and it is great. Lots of info. I have had

Lyme for 6 years now. Recently found out through a friend about

Samento helping his friend. I am willing to try anything. I have a 5

hour drive tomorrow to DC to see my LLMD. I am going to mention

it to him to see what he says.

Hi..yes I have heart of the Samento. I think it is the super cat's claw. I know there are other people who use it here. I think it is good for bartonella. I just started taking it today myself.

Keep us posted on your progress with the DC doctor ...Is it Dr. J ??

I have heard great things about him. Is this your first time getting any treatment?
why did it take 6 yrs to find out?? it only took me TWENTY ... ha ha.

do you have bartonella? did you do all the tests for coinfections and parasites and thick blood and heavy metals? (did I leave anything out??)

If it's Dr. J. you're going to see, I envy you. Ever since seeing him in the DVD I have wanted him as MY doctor. You might also ask the doctor how he feels about the Byron White formulas. Right now I'm taking the A-Bart.

Yes, going to see Dr. J. I have been his patient since 2004. He diagnosed me after the usual bouncing around from doc to doc to doc. It has been a very bumpy ride though. Not his fault. I did oral anti, then IV anti. Helped some. Then lyme back with a vengence. Suspected numerous co-infections. He wanted me back on IV, but insurance was limited. Now that I have two insurances, my body won't even let me do orals. Dr. J tried me on orals this past June. I only lasted 3 days of 4 different anti. I thought I was literally going to die and I have been through some ****. It took me until Dec. to get over it. I just heard about Samento and thought it might be something I could try. Thanks to all who post about lyme. I have felt so alone until landing on this site. Gotta get some sleep now. Got a long drive tomorrow and a date with Dr. J @ 1:oopm. Wish me luck!

Welcome to our forum!! I am so sorry to hear that you have been living with tick-borne infections for that long!! I'm sure you'll find us to be a caring, helpful & understanding group!!

Please do be careful out on the roads tomorrow!!! And please let us know how your doc's visit went!!

It would be useful if you would read through the thread at the top of the forum titled "New to Lyme?...Start here!" even though you aren't exactly "new" to Lyme. It has a lot of good info and links that the members here put together in an effort to better help new members.

Yes, Samento from Nutramedix worked for us. I think my kids are lyme free (or almost there) from it but we also took Cumanda and Burbur and GSE at the same time. It's important to hit all of the infections at once. My kids had them all: bart, babs, ehrlichiosis, mycoplasma and lyme.

Google Eva Sapi and Lyme ...she has studied Nutramedix samento and found it more effective against lyme than Doxycycline.

You should consider doing the entire 6 month Cowden Protocol of which samento is a part of...it has helped me significantly. You will herx on the herbs. I am starting month 6 now and well and plan to continue an additional 3 months. Note: if you also have Babesia-this protocol helps...the Enula kills it and you do herx.
