Hi Yazzer!
Well since you are a good ole country boy, maybe I should divulge that I'm a good ole country gal!!!!
Giggle!!!
Although I won't go into my full story - much to much to tell here - your story does sound similar to my experiences. Each time I had a major stress event, I went down for the count - a little harder than it sounds like you experienced- but the same still. Why? It's because when our bodies are busy dealing with a major stress event, the tbi's (tick-borne infections) get to come out and
really play!
Our bodies are so busy trying to deal with everything, that it can't withstand the attack - so down we go. After the birth of each of my kids, I got horribly ill, after my divorce, I got sooo ill, Part I am sure were specifcally Lyme related and part, no doubt my own ability to overlay my own anxiety on top of it all - panic attacks, ZERO sleep, depression, etc. after the death of my second husband - down I went, and on and on and on! UGH!
I too got to a point that I just gave up. That was after a year on abx and the only thing that happened was that I got much,
much worse! I didn't know and my LLMD did know about
detoxing (that's why I push it!), drinking
lots of lemon water, and the dry skin brushing. I now know that I should have been doing those things and just how ill I really was. Fortunately I was already a member here and I was gently guided to know what to do. I took time to heal, then started looking for some kind of treatment I could withstand. That took a while - 2 years, but I did find it. Now I"m healing!!!
You said - "Part I am sure were specifcally Lyme related and part, no doubt my own ability to overlay my own anxiety on top of it all - panic attacks, ZERO sleep, depression, etc."
Here's the not so funny part - those are all symptoms of tbi's! You may have been infected for quite a while. It took talking about
my health as a child with my mom before I realized that I had RMSF (Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever)
without the spots at the age of either 5 or 7 years old! Seems as though my body rarely allows a rash of any type to show.
You said "I tried literally to take things day-to-day and even minute-to-minute in some cases" - and this is how many of us with tbi's have had to get through things!
BTW- the moniker came about
because of my email address - artraveler - as in AR Traveler. My hubby and I live a modest life in Arkansas, but before my hubby was disabled, we would travel for his work - so artraveler was 'born'!! Now we stay at home and enjoy our kids, grandchildren, our dogs and -of course- my goats!!!
Hubby and I are just now to the point with our health that we can have milk goats around!!
Keep on taking good care of you! That will put you in an advantageous position when you do start your treatment. Although, I would highly suggest that you add in detox baths and/or detox foot baths, dry skin brushing, and of course the lemon water!!!
I do hope this actually has some information in it!! Otherwise I'm just rambling again!!! LOL!
