I took Mepron for 10 days like infectious disease dr recommended but don't believe it was long enough.. I want to start it again tonight but forgot if it was a teaspoon or table spoon. Anyone took it before and remember what dose..?

My LLMD told me my husband will be on mepron for babesia for 6 months. His dose is 7.5 cc, whatever that is. Did the dr. agree to start you on it again?

I took 750 MG (one teaspoon) 2 x day. 1500 altogether for almost three months. Prescribed Azith along with it.....plus the Amox I was already taking which was soon switched to Ceftin.
The Mepron really helped me turn a corner. Night sweats went away and body temperature regulation (chills and then hot) got much better.
Chills are totally gone now....but I still get minor hot flashes if I'm in a room that's fairly warm.

Dr didn't suggest I did he thinks 10 days was enough to kill it.. Doesn't know much I think. He isnt a llmd just a infectious disease dr.. Now that I Remember it was a teaspoon twice a day... I see a llmd next mon. Can't wait. Ughhhh hope she is good.. Ps. I dont get the night sweats but do get hot n sweat very easily. The worst part is I dont remember getting bit by a tick except for 30 yrs a go as a kid.. Is it really possible that I have been living with babesia and Lyme for 30 yrs ?

I believe it is possible but perhaps you were rebitten and just didn't know it. I believe it is only upon your immune system getting weakened perhaps with stress or another illness that illnesses can surface that have been in the body for a long time. SOOOO glad to hear you are going to LLMD Monday.

My son has been on Mepron for 3 months. He takes 1 tsp twice daily.
He was bitten by a mosquito....not a tick.

He has Lyme and Babesia. Became very ill 2 weeks after mosquito bite. Never have seen a tick, I guess anything is possible though.
