And play them for me. This is another woe is me post-sorry ;)

I upped my medication today to 750mg of Biaxin along with a complement of 400mg Plaquenil. What happened next was awful in terms of GI distress. Top it off with about 75% humidity outside when I was at a festival with my kids. I think I turned a Lyme (haha) shade of green. How I got home without an accident I do not know. I have to go to the maximum dose of 1000mg next week. I AM SCARED. Arrrggghhhh.

You don't HAVE to go to the max dose. If your body ain't ready, I am not certain that pushing it to the max is the best choice in the long run.

My response is actually a question...I thought Plaquinel is an anti-protozoan for malaria. I'm curious as to why it's used for lyme, assuming that's what you're taking it for. Hope you don't mind my question...still learning!

The way my LLMD explained it to me was that the Plaquenil opens the cell wall and allows the Biaxin to go in and do it's job better. My meds may change again when I see her in October, who knows? My Lyme was caught early which is good but we are still figuring things out with my healing path. I am better today with my stomach, not 100% but better.

Plaquenil also is an immune booster. A lot of HIV patients take plaquenil to help their immune system. Good luck on plaquenil tho, it is a really tough medicine.. it put me to bed rest for months.
