Subject kind of says it all...it seems like I have a herx reaction a few hours after I take my antibiotics every time...meaning twice a day, for a couple of hours. Is this...possible? I've been trying so hard lately to understand exactly how antibiotics work, like what happens from the moment you swallow them until they kill bacteria or stop them from reproducing or whatever they do...and I've come up with nothing. But can they work that fast? My only guess is that the "herx" is just a lack of blood flow to the rest of my body since it's redirected to my digestive system to deal with the antibiotics...but I'm not a scientist or a doctor so I have no idea.
Also, kind of strange...in the morning I take 500mg of tindazole and 150 of doxy, and the reaction I feel a few hours later is always worse than the reaction I have at night when I take the tindazole, doxy, AND ceftin. Shouldn't more antibiotics make me feel worse? I also only have anxiety attacks during the few hours after I take my morning (or usually afternoon) antibiotics. I'm not really sure what my question is here, but any insight into the process of antibiotics killing bacteria and what that does to the body would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
