Hyperbaric chamber treatment in Florida

Hi All,

My Mom just told me about an article about a place called Chamber of Hope hyperbaric center in St. Petersburg, FL that offers free hyperbaric chamber treatment for LD as well as other diseases.  I did a search and found the article that my Mom had read and also their website http://www.chamberofhope.org .  I don't know if they treat adults or not.  I have never tried this type of treatment, but I know that I have read other posts where people have mentioned it.

I am so glad that you found something that helped you! Not everyone will respond so well to that treatment though, as what helps one person will not necessarily help the next person.

How long have you been in treatment? How long do you suspect that you have been infected?

If you haven't already, it would be beneficial for you to start with reading through the thread at the top of the forum titled,"New to Lyme?...Start here!!", as it is packed full of relevant information, symptom lists and informative links that have been put together by our members here! Most of those who have read through it have said that it was very helpful!! We also have a pretty good search function on this forum to help you narrow down your search for information from past posts. We must be our own health advocates now and the best thing to arm yourself with is knowledge!

I will most be likely going for HBOT in the upcoming year. The website you posted is mHBOT, while the facility I am looking at using is HBOT. The chamber is much, much bigger than the one there and is fairly reasonable in terms of payment. She charges well under $7k for 30 days of treatment. The only downside for me is that the facility is located in CA and I am on the East Coast. I am also looking at a facility in my home state of MA.

I have a ton of documented studies and testimonials from Lyme patients she has sent me. It looks very promising, and I am willing to try anything at this point.

Traveler, I removed my post (and link) as I'm not interested in violating any of your forum rules. If you had followed the link to my blog, you would have seen that I have written perhaps 15-20 pages worth of information on hyperbaric and Lyme. I have been infected for more than a decade, have read tens of thousands of posts, papers, articles, blogs and the like, and decided to share my opinions.

It's no cure, but improved my quality of life (greatly), as did other therapies.
