Air hunger

I too would like to hear from those who had babesia and "air hunger" as a symptom.
My 8 year old son keeps see-sawing with various health problems which I am afraid add up to neurological Lyme.

When his problems were the most numerous a few years ago, he had bad night time cough and he kept making those extremely deep sighs - every time when he would sit down in the car on try to sleep at night. So deep that I was scared he might hurt his lungs. His doctor told us they are "behavioral", I suppose he meant anxiety. But I wonder if that could have been babesia. He also kept having bad night sweats and bad nightmares/ hallucinations basically every night.

No, no sodas at all.  Only juices and lemonade that we dilute in half with water.

This is certainly not a text book answer but I am pretty sure I get this when sitting down. It is like a gasp for air. If you have ever been with a loved one trying to die you will hear this gasp;. I don't know why people do it maybe ehaustion,???
