need advice re: meds not working

Hello All,

going to see my LLMD on Wednesday and seriously need to discuss having persistent Lyme. I'm not sure what meds to turn to?? I've been on IV clindamycin and cefepime (rocephine like) for over a month. I'm not noticing anything from it. And have not had any die off, herx, issues. I've been on IV meds now for almost 1 yr without any significant improvement!! I'm very disappointed to say the least.

I'm attaching my list of meds I've used over the past 3 years. I've only had die off from one, Rifampin. Took that over 6 months.

I need suggestions from you very smart and personally experienced people!!!
My med summary: combo of abx and herbals 1.5yrs; then, full herbal regime 6+ months; then, IV abx 1 yr.

Yes, I know its long.

Ask your LLMD about this test. It checks a urine sample for metabolites from common fungal and bacterial species. I knew I was fighting a systemic fungal infection, but this let me know that there are bacterial things going on too.

Thanks Lymie, I've been studying this stuff for four years now.

The only reason I can think of for why you wouldn't be experiencing any difference is that maybe you're taking the wrong kinds of antibiotics? According to my LLMD - and I still only half understand this - we need to target 3 different forms of the bacteria...cell wall, intracellular, and cystic, I believe. I'm taking all three at once, and I DEFINITELY feel a difference - for better or worse! It sounds like you're currently missing a "cyst-buster" as my doctor calls it (such as tindamax or flagyl). It's just a guess but if I were the bacteria being hit hard with IV antibiotics, I would probably go into cystic form to protect myself.

Have you tested for co-infections? I've heard that some of them - such as bartonella - should be addressed before the Lyme, because it sort of stands in the way of treatment for Lyme.

I would absolutely bring this up with your doctor. I'm so sorry you're going through this. If it helps the first time I was treated for Lyme - many years ago - I had no reaction whatsoever to my abx, and now I couldn't be more opposite. I guess you just have to find what works for your body, for what strains you have etc. Good luck!!

I am on Interfase Plus. It's an enzyme that's supposed to be a cell membrane buster. I probably do need to go back on tindamax though.

I recently had a pretty high copper count, but other metals are normal.

I never herxed with any of the many different herbals I've been on also. Mostly the Nutramedics brand. And I just finished an herbal EBV remedy for very high EBV.

What herbal EBV remedy did you use? I have high reactivated EBV - I have been using colostrum to what seems like good effect. I happened to think of another suggestion - some way to get your blood deeper into your body. As we know, "thick" blood comes with the TBI territory - maybe your blood is not getting to the deeply entrenched critters. Two things there that might help are a blood thinner (maybe, aspirin, maybe a natural substance) and/or more AEROBIC exercise. The latter increases body temperature, oxygenates the blood and drive the blood deeper into the tissue where it came deliver more health-giving effects....

I don't know, Lupern, I was wondering how you were doing because didn't see you in long time. You like to think the person is doing better when they not here.

It looks to me like you DID take EVERYHING.

the levequan and the cipiro are supposed to work for barontella.

do you know if you still have that?

you did the antifungals and you did the flagyl.

you really have done everything.

what are your symptoms?

I am thinking that my situation is so far gone that I will always be in pain and depressed and in bed 70% of the time.

I definitely go down when I am in mold places. So I keep blaming my sick and slowness in the head on AIR QUALITY.

People with mold will never heal from lyme, so they say and the symptoms are identical. the mycotoxin theing. the brain infection, the gut gets destroyed.


Are you sure there is no mold around you. If you have that HLA gene you will stay very sick around mold.
