Igenex is definitely more reliable than the more standard tests. And supposedly, with treatment, you're more likely to get a positive - ironic, huh? Sometimes you have to be treated just to get diagnosed!
I've heard mixed things about the CD-57. I read somewhere that it's comparable to monitoring t-cells in cancer patients. I've also heard that it tends to be a bit unreliable in that it lags behind. For instance mine was 11 when I started treatment, and 6 months later it only went up to 32 - which would seem like I'm still very sick, although I believe I've gotten quite a bit better. Some people say that it shoots up toward the end of treatment. Usually it's pretty good to test the CD57 periodically, but I don't think it's all that accurate in assessing progress.
