Anyone tried this. In reading around, it is supposed to kill off both the motile and cyst forms of Bb. Since I have had a heck of a time everytime I tried Flagyl in the past (the abx cyst-buster), I have added GSE because you can take as little as a drop of the liquid form per day. I started two weeks ago at 4 drops and then added this week to 10 drops on Mon/Tue (don't as me why I went so high so quickly!).

Well, I have been experiencing a high level of symptoms since early yesterday so I know it must be a herx. I decided to back down on it - backk to the 4 drops that wasn't causing me too much issue. Has anyone else here had experience with GSE and herxing? I know I have to address the cysts in me snce I know there muct be a LOT since I have had undiagnosed Bb for 35 or so years. My herxing is almost entirely consiting of neurological and cognitive issues. So, this afternoon, I was whacked-out as they say! Creepy, out-of-body like stuff....and dizziness.

Still, I am making good forward progress, it's these little setbacks that get discouraging sometimes....Happy New Year to all and here's to a better 2012!!!

I am taking an herb mixture that has GSE in it, I definitely experienced herxing from it, I had to back down from 2 to 1 capsule a day. It also kills off yeast/candida so it's possible you are having die off from that as well.

Thx all...I don't think I have a yeast/candida issue...I just amped-up my dosage of GSE too quickly - came back down to 5 drops/day the past couple of days and symptoms much improved. Even went out and played 9 holes of golf with my wife on this abnormally warm Maryland day (highs in the 60s!)

I have tried GSE in combination with other things, but did the tablet form rather than the drops (because of the taste issue). After 9 months of antibiotics I did only GSE and teasel root for several months. I really have no idea if it helped or not. I figured it didn't hurt and even if it helped only a little, if everything I did moved me in the direction of getting better it was worth it. I made some progress on the antibiotics and then plateaued. I want to think everything I tried after that helped to some degree, but I did not notice a real difference and truly feel better until I did the Hansa Center/Dr. Jernigan's at-home protocol. It was very slow going and I worried I was wasting my money. I personally believe it was a combination of things that got me better, and have no idea if that protocol alone would have gotten me where I am today.

GSE is an amazing product. It not only works on cyst form lyme (bacteria) it also kills yeast in the gut. Most people won't realize they have yeast in the gut because it masks as other issues.
My rule of thumb, if you have any breakdown (illness) just assume your systemic yeast is on the rise.
GSE cleans out the gut nicely in order to help the rest of the body function better.
It's also a great douche if you have a vaginal yeast infection or works great for sore throats when you use it as a gargle.

I periodically take 5- 10 drops in cycles to ensure gut health. 10 drops to come will cause a herxing reaction, but starting slow (3-4 drops a day) most likely will not

Peacesoul, do you consider the drops better than the tablets? I was looking at the Swanson Grapefruit Seed Liquid Extract on Amazon.com but there are so many choices:

That same search brought up a 125 mg tablet by Nutribiotic.

I think I have yeast issues, and I need something to replace the Japanese knotweed I was on. That was just too acidic for me and my stomach couldn't handle it.

I was on Flagyl.My LLMD took me off of it and "prescribed" GSE as a replacement. She said that we may revisit Flagyl later, but that I had been on it for too long. I took GSE 2 evenings in a row (pill form) and was in horrible pain all night long on the second night. I couldn't even drive my son to school in the morning so I stopped taking it. So, yes, it definitely killed something! I need to start back up on it soon.

I was on plaquenil for 6 months and then stopped. Started GSE as a replacement. And oh boy am I ever herxing…..or at least I think I am? My symptoms get worse after taking it. I feel like I could sleep for days. That how I felt when I first started taking plaquenil. I would sleep till there was no tomorrow. Eventually I wasn't herxing on the plaquenil. Its hard to know if you are herxing or just feeling rotten from the lyme.

If you haven't ​yet​, it would be helpful for you to start with reading through the thread at the top of the forum titled,"New to Lyme?...Start here!!", as it is packed full of important information, symptom lists, helpful links and pdf's, how to detox when one has these infections, information on probiotics and much more.

GSE isn't a treatment for Lyme - it wont' kill the bacteria. What it does is opens up the cystic form (actually called the round body form) and releases the bacteria that are in it.

You really need to start detoxing and to start back into treatments - whether they are pharmaceutical or herbal.

I'm on cleocin for babesia right now. I'll wait on GSE until I'm back on doxy. 7/2017

I just got NutriBiotic's GfSE (cheaper than Amazon and with free shipping) from Natural Healthy Concepts.
