Chest/heart pains anyone?

I was getting a lot of chest type pains when I was taking the Flagyl and a LOT of heart palpitations. You might try some Prilosec for a week and see if that helps. But, I think it would also be smart to see your doctor and have them listen to your heart.....

I think we often attribute every little pain to Lyme disease and have to be careful about separating things....

Same was happening to me. I thought I had heart problems.

I treated for inflammation and it's almost gone now. Try enzymes and magnesium. Also a cream like this www.progressivelabs.com/product.php?productid=93

Magnesium should be in a chelated form, not magnesium oxide for better bioavailability. I take 600 mg before bed. Usually you can take enough till you reach bowel tolerance.

I agree that you should get your heart looked at. I also experienced chest pain, heart "skips" and a fast heart rate. I had an echocardiogram, 2 EKGs, a chest x-ray and a 24-hour holter monitor and all came back normal.

So, it is possible to have heart symptoms that are nothing to worry about, but I would suggest letting a cardiologist make sure they are nothing to worry about!

Thanks all. I too have chest pains that radiate to my shoulders sometimes. It's so scary that I have also debated about going to the ER. My LLMD appt is in a few weeks and I was trying ot hold out till then. Also lately when I get really stressed, crazy things are happening to me. Last night when the heart stuff was happening, I stopped at an ice cream shop to get my hubby a sundae on the way home from work for Valentine's Day. When I was counting the money to give to the cashier, the whole room started spinning. It was quite unnerving.

Weird stuff is happening. When this all started going nuts 5 years ago, I would get dizzy spells all the time!!

I just made a cardiology appt for next week. Right now I'm having a major anxiety attack sitting in a pediatric dentist office waiting for my boss's kids to come out. My boss is Korean. Her parents live in Hawaii and visit every few months for no less than 3.5-4 weeks at a time, sometimes longer. They breathe down my back bs follow the children and I EVERYWHERE. They critique everything I do too. The grandfather just showed up at the dentist office less than .05 mile from the house!!!!! I can't deal with this stress. I'm freaking out! I have to tell my boss. This is too much for a normal person to deal with. They also backhand everything I tell the kids to do. It's creating a very tense work environment for me. I don't know what to do.

Traveler--I actually made a cardiologist appt and they bumped me to today, but unfortunately, my husband works for a major retail bank and they made everyone change insurance from Aetna to United. Aetna was great, but United is horrific!! Everything is out of pocket until a high deductible and I had to cancel my cardiology appt until I see the LLMD in 2 weeks. If things get worse, I'll reschedule immediately. But I just can not afford that AND the LLMD appt in a few weeks along with taking off of work.

To answer your question--the kids are part of the deal with my job. They are only part of the deal, but I do love the children. I am a personal assistant and it comes as part of the "package". Honestly, the kids are usually the best part of my day.

My anxiety is a huge issue and the chest pains started a few weeks ago right before the grandparents showed. I think between finding out that if I tested positive for Lyme and wasn't treated properly that this was why I was so sick all these years really put me through the ringer. I have always had "heart burn" on and off, but the constant chest pains really seemed to start a few weeks ago with the info of all this and also the news that the grandparents were coming AGAIN and staying AGAIN for a long period of time.

I left work early yesterday because the anxiety was too high for me to deal with and there was no need for me to be working if they were going to be coming everywhere with us and critiquing everything we did. My mom said "screw it, leave work, you don't need to be this anxious and uspet" She was right..I did and I felt better.

My anxiety is quite scary. I'm sorry if I have upset anyone here. I don't know how to deal with this all. If my LLMD thinks i need to see the cardiologist, I will do so immediately. Hopefully it can wait a few weeks. If not, I'll reschedule.

Trav--One of the first questions I will ask the LLMD will be about anxiety because I am one hot mess!!

The money thing is shameful! I am so peeved at my husband's employer. They are a greedy, good for nothing company that only stresses their employees out and nothing the employees do is ever good enough!   Plus, paying OOP over $300 per month for insurance and getting nothing for it, well I just don't get it. I mean, why even have insurance!

Hopefully he can find a new line of work as this whole retail banking experience is not fun with this economy. Push push push and no give.

about the amount of $$ your insurance costs - that's not so bad, back when we had insurance, about 2 years ago I think - we were paying over $800 each month - now mind you, it was really good insurance, but still(!!!!) it was painful for that much to come out of his pay check, since that's all we live on - I haven't worked outside the home since the early 80's!

Hi, I had a lot of cardio tests,ekg, hoilter and stress test due to racing heart and heavy beats, all came back fine ,they didnt do an echo, i dont know why. Now that I have a lymes diagnosis as of 3 days ago, im gonna call the cardiologist back and see if he wants to do any more tests. Very scary stuff but Im gonna o my best to conquer this beast!
