I thought it would be fun if we introduced ourselves, told something about us..how old we are..anything..doesn't need to be Lyme related. Could be before you got sick or even currently..hobbies, likes..

I'll start:

My name is Andrea..you can call me Andi. I'm 30. I live in NJ. I am a personal assistant. I grew up in NC and was an avid horseback rider until about 18 years old when I moved up North to get away from the south. I love Maltese dogs and have shown/raised them in the past. I am married to my best friend. He always makes me laugh and cooks wonderful food, rubs my legs and feet every night and puts up with all of my problems. blush

Before I got really sick, I loved to sew children's clothing and I have a real love for children. Before finding out what was going on, I was dying to have children. But now, I doubt that's going to be possible for me. I could never live with myself if I passed this on to a child or watched my child get ill knowing what I know now.

Hi Andi,

I am a 33 yo childcare provider in Vermont. I am married with one child; a wonderful son.

I love to craft and learn. Thankfully, Lyme hasn't dibilitated me to the point of having to change my lifestyle. For a bit, I had issues with language and words and still have a hard time recalling them at times.

I'm hoping to kick this bug soon though I know you can never be sure. My biggest fear now is having my child or daycare children get bit and catch this awful disease.

worriedinvt--I also work with children a little and it's the highlight of my day. It can be very hard to put a smile on when I'm hurting so badly and so fatigued, but they do make me laugh and cheer me up!

Hi Kristeen--Isn't it amazing how laughing can be such a good distraction?

This has turned out to be a fun thread. Let's keep it going! I love learning about others.  smilewinkgrin

Linda, 53, mother of two and two step children with 6 grandchild. 3 boy, 3 girls.

Live in the Hudson Valley in New York. Been in the same area all my life.

Grew up cooking, sewing and being outdoors. These are the things I still enjoy. I'm suppose to be sewing some curtains for a co-worker right now but... tomorrow's another day. lol

Am now a cook at an early learning center, all the children are pre-schoolers. I love cooking and children so this job is perfect.

Have always been active and enjoyed being with and doing for my family but now it's not as much "fun" for me. Don't have the energy I use too.

I am not on here as much as I use to be but do try to check in every day or two. I may not post often but try to keep posted. lol Get it? lol

My Name is Angie , I am 45 and live in Illinois. I was working in Child Welfare until I got sick and had to take time off for now ... I have 4 wonderful kids , 3 daughters and 1 son.. My husband and my kids are my greatest support!!! I enjoy spending time with my family .. I put all my faith in the Lord and know that he will not leave me in this battle with Lyme all alone :) I love to travel and see new things and am really hoping to have my life back soon from Lyme Disease !!

Hello All...

My name is Heidi but also go by Dhi. 23 years old. Sick since the age of around 7-8. I live in Portland, Oregon...recently relocated for the sake of giving our son a better environment (came from San Francisco). I thankfully have a "domestic partner" of 5 years & a 3 year old who has given me to motivation to attempt to conquer this disease. Currently just a simple stay at home mum who helps with my mans business in whatever ways I can. Mostly all the internet work. I don't know where Id be without those two.
Obviously being sick from 7 this illness has taken away most of my life. I lived in survival mode with no family to support me. After finally being diagnosed in 2007 i got sucked into the crap hospital system of the city for three years. Now I just began seeing a Chinese Herbalist, Acupuncturist, & Naturopaths who give me approx 3 years till recovery. I feel very positive & optimistic about healing naturally.
I have a background & passion in music, writing, cooking, baking, the forest, any nature to be honest, urban farming & I do hope to get healthy one day to know what its like to live a "normal" life. And most importantly give my son the amazing opportunities he deserves. Plus I would love to have/adopt more babies to love up once Im healthy.

Thanks for the chance to give a little info about ourselves :)
