Extreme Vertigo?!? The other shoe drops...uggh

A year or two before I started treatment I had a couple extreme cases of vertigo --- bed spinning type of thing, enough to go to the ER a couple times. One of these times I had rapid heart rate. And like you, things checked out normal (?). I tried the antihistamine drug they gave me but did not work. and the vertigo eventually went away for awhile.

Now in LD treamtent, I have less severe case of vertigo. However, I am trying to correlate the dizziness with more eye-related symptom (rather than possible inner ear). Sometimes I feel either pressure in one eye or somewhat blurred vision and then i also have dizziness - unstable feeling.  I attribute this to LD infection in my eye or optic nerve. As I understand, this is one tougher area to heal from LD than other parts of the body.

So with your case I wonder if you can separate this out --- could it be inner ear  or eye problems or some other possible cause of dizziness/unstable.  Regardless, this is scary.

I also wonder if this is part of neurotoxin load. Because it does go away, but does come back. So many questions, not enough answers.

I have found nothing to help dizziness - unstable feeling. Buhners book does talk about this a little bit and recommends knotweed. I am carefully taking this herb -- small dose since somethings I can not tolerate. we shall see.

Thanks all! I have a sneaking suspicion it's inner ear-related and caused by toxin load. My modus operandi for toxin build-up is tense neck and back, head pressure (no pain) and clogged ears! I also get spacey and dizzy feeling (but never like the wild vertigo episode last evening!). When my body gets more toxic, I can hold my nose and blow and pop my ears and that relieves some of the spaced-out feeling. As a kid, I was pretty healthy but for some reason had a lot of recurring ear/sinus issues so maybe that's my "weak" spot and it gets exploited with the Lyme.

Dunno, but feeling remarkably better today with now just some milder "regular" Lyme symptoms and just a little dizziness. Will rest today and decide about going back to work tomorrow a little later. I have a message into my LLMD for any advice she may have to offer too...thanks again - we'll all get through this at some point!

10 yeas ago, my first symptom of brain toxicity was waking up one morning with No hearing in same right ear (SSHL-sudden sensory hearing loss). I recovered about 25% of it, but i know after reading reading and reading the two main causes of it for us folks, seem to be viral and or heavy metals (other than deep sea diving, which I have never done or a busted ear drum)

funny i had ear-throat-sinus infections all through life as well, strept throat 2-3x a year

increased blood flow supplements would seem to be a good idea..you may want to try a magensium -vitamin C IV..these are very good chelators of fibrin...I believe this opened up some of my head virus's which unfortunatel;y is a by product of increased circulation (ie breaks up fibrin)

These bug die offs all give off fibrin..

if you google David Berg from hemex's theory and protocol, he says we should do a 30-45 day process of fibrin clearing or blood thinning with heparin or other blood thinners if you cannot get heparin and then after blood has been thinned you go after the virus's and add more blood thining supps like bromelain and lumbrokinsase

you stay on heparin for 5-6 months as Viral die off creates more fibrin

he says first month is tough as with heparin and doing blood thinning, you will have viral reactivation, but you just have to work through it.I found this to be the case..December-January was very rough

i did 5-6 magnesium-vitamin C's in December and proceeded to feel like crap for most of the last 3 months

my wbc has dropped a little over this period 4.8 to 4.1 whcih i believe is just a function of virus's working out of me, even though I feel better the last week, then i have in 2 years..so maybe i am turning the corner

Hi Yazzer, ...my Dad had such a spell as you have described, it so scared us all,--- he ended up getting a wild ride to the hospital in a downpour, and had a clumsy medic trying to start an IV enroute to hospital jabbed his arm repeatedly :-( .......by the time the first responders arrived, it had passed, and he was normal except his BP was high, had shot up, because he was so upset, and frightened... --we thought he was having a stroke...the vertigo onset, first episode came within about 2-3 weeks of receiving a flu vaccine...(I think--wish I had kept a diary). So, prior to the vertigo attack, he had fallen off a ladder, survived that event amazing free of serious damage , but he received a good cut on the head......only about a week ago, I was "musing backwards" thinking about that event......and I recalled he had had a flu shot , when he was seen at the walk in clinic after he fell off the ladder.

I am curious, did you have any flu shot / vaccine preceeding your episode of vertigo? even if 2-3 weeks...? I ask because my Dad did,...I could not believe it myself , that the attending nurse marched in and jabbed him AS he was getting his head stitched up !! She did it so fast I had no time to protest, ask that it be received another time........

I think , after all my reading these past 8 months that those with Borrelia , and or co-infections are so compromised inside that they are the ones who get very ill following vaccines....a little like steroids have often detrimental effect on those with compromised immunity, as they did with my Mom, causing her to suffer a total bodily collapse, twice. I witnessed her brought back from a complete comatose state almost miraculously via steroid IV infusion, TWICE it happened....in her case, her doctor, and the hospital both, did not have a clue........so sad--it pretty much ruined her elder years...

My studies led to theory that she was a Lymie possibly all her life, from birth, possibly,..my self research came too late to help her. She suffered terribly with a chronic debilitating cough, most of her life...allergies, an outward sign of lack of immunity. What has helped shaped my thinking MOST, is looking backwards at all the little clues, both sides of the family. Think it is generational in my case, based on family health histories and occupation/exposure/locations.

My theory just lately has come about in reading about the Alzheimers/neural connection to Borreliosis, and thinking about Autism/neural damage, which I always suspected was in part brought about via vaccines/ inoculations--because the vaccine completely side steps the bodies natural points of entry, are going directly into the blood stream. Perhaps in those babies and children with hidden bacterial infections from birth, in receiving their first vaccines, are overwhelmed, bodily? I've read a few tests have been conclusive, in RE Autism and Lyme.

anyway..I really feel for anyone experiencing vertigo.....my Dad's was accompanied by severe tinnitus, as time went on,....always pitched him in the same right handed roll,...lasted about 1-2 years, altogether.....he did outgro them,,,that was the last flu shot he has had, cares not to have another....

he is 90, and I suspect, a life long lymie. quite healthy, mind still very keen,...he HAS has many major symptoms, that have affected quality of life.

He found low light helped, in his case...often he could control them and sorta ride them out, sitting in a chair till they passed........

No more vertigo episodes since the big, scary one last Monday and a minor one last Weds AM....whatever caused it seems to be gone now....it seems to have been a inner ear event, though. Now I am back to work and experiencing some fairly minor transient fatigue and brain fog....with everything in bloom so early this year here in Maryland, it's like a pollen and alergen storm! LOL.

Thanks, A/G! I was out yesterday enjoying the weather - Tilled my Dad's garden for him. It's HUGE and took me 2 hours or so of "tiller wrestling" his big old tiller! Then a little of my own yard work - I have broccoli planted outside and tomotoes and red peppers seeded inside - can't wait to get the garden running full-out (mine is much, much smaller than my Dad's)! Then I ran 6 miles at a fast pace. I seem to be fine - dunno exactly what caused the vertigo but so far, no lasting effects. Weren't you the one who suggested perhaps a transient auto-immune issue? Well, I think that makes sense since my immune system has come back of late. Or maybe, just something upsetting my inner ear equilibrium. Who knows? But I am sure glad the vertigo didn't stick around! Thanks for responding.

April, a good cry is cathartic at times ....emotional detox. This, from a 6'-1" 200 lb redneck boy from Maryland! Lol. These symptoms come and go with very little predictability. You just have to stay engaged with life the best you can ....in the end, that's the best medicine to getting better!

Since I was little I had ear problems as fluid would build up in my inner ears which caused dizziness, some deafness, etc.  I suggest seeing an ENT (Ear, Nose Throat) Doctor.  It can be caused by allergies or just getting water in your ears from showering.. 

I don't believe everything is related to lyme.. lots of things but not everything.. Lyme didn't bring on menopause, LOL!!

the inner ear is somewhat of a mystery!! Antibiotics are also known to cause sudden hearing loss....which is what I thought was my Dad's case he lost first one ear, ..years later, the other --the later ear...he had gone for antibiotics for a virus.cold and in the very same time frame--sudden hearing loss...One antibiotic was taken off the market when it was linked to the hearing loss.... Fluid pressure does create imbalance as well as elevation/air pressure. I once had my vision go kooky --REALLY bad, when I turned my head abruptly to look back of me for traffic, facing forward, all the lines of the freeway were doing an optical jitterbug dance--only last about 2-3 seconds, but scary!. ....I'm of the mind that allergies are the result of that weakened immune system, too. Babies all used to be breast fed....what alot of people don't know is that the act of sucking is what develops the estacheon (?) tube, facial and jaw muscles, the inner ear. Bottle feeding requires less pull and work. And just as nature (God) plans things, .....we usually modify, to some extent and MESS up the good plan! LOL,..baby formula,.....they simply cannot re-create mothers milk, they have tried and failed! ...

I think Lyme (Borreliosis) is generational, and has been in my family for YEARS, both sides, all the way back to my immigrants arrival to these shores from Germany, Scotland. I have had it either since birth, (gestational) or 1966--when I received a known bite/again in about 2003 or 4 , a nymph bite, and again in 2010, tick or flea bite with bad EM rash, symptoms. VERY likely, I have Lyme or a lyme combo...what is sad, is that I'm a pauper! no ins.

Went to a seminar today, and learned a few things:...as much as 50% of the squirrel population is said to carry Bb. Learned also heat causes bacterium to grow (sauna, etc),...I thought the opposite! I assumed raising the body temp might kill OFF the bug! so is it best to be sedentary, or exercise??

"Under Our skin" was shown locally in a town nearby, with a well qualified guest speaker to answer questions..and will be presented again in the evening for our local hospital doctors/staff.....it is encouraging that should be so,--my Pa's MD doc and specialists (heart/vision) all "avoided" my inquiries as to the possiblity of Lyme disease, in his case...he has had presenting symptoms over the last 40 years very indicative of Lyme disease..has had all the exposure levels (high) and health histories that point to his having it maybe all his life...the WORST of his symptoms came about in the last 20 years...as he and my mom faithfully reported for their flu shots each year,...thankfully he has not had a shot since about 2005 or 6, and no cold, flu! he agrees with my theory.....

.......Lyme Education coming out from under the rock is LONG overdue, in many many portions of CA....our whole state (CA) is likely an endemic area...I'm buying tyvek to wear while mowing this year, and DEF tucking in pants and shirt!!!

Here is my simplistic laywomans theory (just my thinking, but it makes sense)
we are "bodily assaulted". The populace has been handed antibiotics for common colds, for YEARS, this has been done=bread and butter for doctors. --in addition, antibiotics are trickling down from the food supply (meats, eggs). Poor diet, pollution, and yes sadly for years now, radiation fallout--oh stress, too. And we choose to live in "wilder environs"... Our immunity, as humans, is DOWN...so,......WHY did a bug that has been around since the ice man begin to be "visible"? In this century? Lyme surfaced as a cluster in Children,...who are totally assaulted from birth with vaccines, and antibiotics. Pharmaceuticals as well, are an assault on the body--lot's of kids on "meds", today...:-(


enough venting...sadly my Mom's chronic cough might have been "treatable" had borrelia, or related bacterium ever been considered as the BASIS of the cough, in her lifetime. They have found some cases of COPD get better with antibiotic therapy, long term (raise a red flag?) She suffered terribly, and only after her death, did I finally get over my ostrich syndrome and begin to study what I should have when I FIRST heard about "lyme disease" we were told not to worry here,....only a certain eastern tick carried the bacteria.....yeah, right. Everyone needs to know the truth.
