Do you find yourself blaming everything on Lyme

This morning I went to get blood drawn and they couldn't get my blood. I started thinking, is this a Lyme symptom too? I'm pretty sure it's not since I've been a "hard stick" my whole life. But there are so many bizarre symptoms (word switching, skin buzzing, sensitive hearing and smell) that have turned out to be Lyme related, I think it's making me paranoid. Oh wait, isn't paranoia also a Lyme symptom...

Like I told you..I have the same issue. I do often find myself blaming everything on Lyme or candida. My husband often rolls his eyes and says that can happen to anyone..

Husband's don't always understand, mine tries, but it's hard for him to grasp just how many symptoms are involved in Lyme

I think it's from the frustration of years of wondering what's going on. You finally find out and you want to know if it's the cause of everything.

I suppose in the end, I need to not obsess over little details like this. It is what it is

DEFINITELY! But you know what, they usually are. Except for the getting older creaks and memory issues, I find that most of my symptoms left when I started feeling better. So as crazy as I was (are?), I wasn't that crazy. LOL.

On my lunch time walkie today I was pondering all of the emotions involved in this condition. Years of frustration where I knew something was wrong and no one would listen or could figure it out, or believe me. Periods were I did feel like maybe I was just a neurotic health freak. Feeling like I wasn't normal because so many things made me sick or I was always injured. So much self doubt

After diagnosis there was the happy to know what's wrong phase.

Enlightenment of how many of these symptoms have been Lyme phase.

and lately the anger that it had to go on so long phase, which I'm working on as I know that won't get me better.

The mental is hard, even when I'm feeling better, I know I won't ever get fully better until I actually let myself feel better. But in the meantime, I still keep trying to figure out the physical. What's Lyme, what's perimenopause, what's something else, what's even normal...

I have gone through these phases myself. I'm coming oh of the anger phase. I'm trying to let go of my anger. The more I let go, the easier it is on me. Not a heal all though. I am too obsessed. I really should step away from the computer but I just can't. :(

Sometimes I want to blame everything on lyme, but then I remind myself that I am a 58 YO woman in menopause. That alone can cause many of the same symptoms. When I want to blame joint pain on lyme (and it well may be), I remember both of my parents had arthritis in their feet, hands, spine, etc. So who really knows? I think that is part of the frustration with chronic lyme: knowing what causes what and how to treat it.

I am 72 years old and extremely active. I hiked the John Muir Trail (230 miles) solo last summer. I had neuropathy in both feet leading to debilitating pain. Also was experiencing dizziness and in general hurt all over. It finally came to a head December 2011. I was violently sick and finally went to a LL doctor. I was probably bitten by a tick over 15 years ago and saw approximately 19 doctors who over that time never diagnosed the problem correctly. You have probably all been through it: Brain scans, MRI's, X-Rays, ear doctors, Podiatrists, back specialists, etc., etc.. Nice to know I am not a hypochondriac. After 2 months of antibiotics a lot of the symptoms have disappeared but I have had horrible pain from all the nerves in my teeth. Have other people experienced this and if so, how long did it last. Thanks for listening.

Yes, I have had the pain in my teeth. All I can tell you is that is seems to last a very long time while it is happening, but in retrospect wasn't that long at all!

Anyway, I hope you are still getting treatment, as it is important to make sure all symptoms have been resolved.

Won't be long before you are back to your active life!

For me the teeth pain comes and goes. It went away for over a year, but came back, and I'm not sure why. I do have gum recession, so that may be it.

If it wasn't for my rapid thoughts that are slowing somewhat from my new natural approach, bfore my new additions I was still questioning. Yeast, something else? Ask Traveller lol.

My new additions over the last 3 days that are coming and going only after hot baths confirmed lymes disease. They are, the livedo rash, hot spot blotches to touch, and 2 morgellons spots, and blood spots

I got my confirmation. A woman that I know from another site found my body stuff. She's tested pos and is getting what I just started to get show on her skin too. :(

I was trying to convince myself the insomnia, joints, etc were something else. Even though the accompanied visual distortion beyond floaters, and stuttering was too strong, not knowing how to read a paragraph for a while, weak sick in bed, confusion too strong.

(The livedo did and eye swelling with purple unlike the recent did show over the last few months but I was like, it comes and goes so I don't know. I was lying to myself, and had no reference point. Now I do, it's lymes. :( )

I guess a point I'm making is it depends on our symptoms perhaps, as to how confusing it can be for all of us. ((((((whatatripgang...hugssss)))))).


*Caledonia, if you google abstracts many bacterias cause arthritis. So it's in essence, one in the same if your parents had it. Mainstream just doesn't tell anyone that a alot is pathogen based. They could have had Mycplasm Fermantans in sinovial fluid as a cause.

Hi, I blame everything on Lyme, not just for myself, but for others, too. Everytime I hear about someone having some unusual occurence or symptoms, I think (or say out loud), "That person has LYME disease!"
I think it's universal for spouses/others to say, "Oh, I have that, too" or "Everyone has problems with that from time to time". Like, "Most people are tired after the end of a hard day". I think (or say out loud), "Oh, most people are too tired to GET OUT OF THE CAR and walk into the house?" "Most people are too tired to GET OUT OF BED?" or "Most people can't write their own names?" etc.
Ha, there are indeed so many symptoms that are a matter of degree (fatigue, headache, muscle pain, cognitive changes) that people w/o Lyme can have. I don't think that most people w/o Lyme comprehend what we're going through.
I mostly say nothing, to avoid hearing the "Me, too" comments from my husband.
