In my case I was bitten by a tick back in April 2011in Ft. Dix New Jersey. The tick was taken for analysis but I never received a call. I had flu symptoms three days after but I stayed calm thinking they would call me if the test came out positive so I didn't think much about it. That summer there were days that I felt very tired and starting feeling sore throat all the time. I am a teacher and I remember some days I could not stand the kids normal noise. When I went back to school in August I started feeling pain in my left hand's joints, thats when I started looking up the symptoms of lyme again. I have being having a lot of mood swings, hair loss and the sore throat is almost two to three weeks a month. I went in January to the Army health provider and the only band reactive was 23 of my Western Blot, so I was told that that it was a negative. I decided to find out what happened to the tick's results so I found the number of Aberdeen Proving Grounds in Maryland and supposedly there is no information of it in their database for those dates. I am back to square one, also I live in Puerto Rico where information about the disease is only found in the internet. Doctors practically laugh at my face saying I am ok, I was now refered to an infecciologist here in PR because I told the doctor I wanted to get retested. I would appreciate any advice I can get, It is hard to not receive any kind of support when you now something with your body s not right.
