I hope that this is not violating any rules..........That is not my intent.

As some of you know, I am a grad student and my final project for my degree is focusing on ILADS based Lyme education and the correlation between ILADS knowledge and patient diagnosis and treatment.

I have developed the first of several surveys that will be used for my research project. The first one focuses on how Lyme patients are diagnosed and treated prior to finding a LLMD. All responses are completely confidential. I do not ask for any identifying information at any point and would never include any personal information. You do not need to provide a screen name or register. This is solely for educational/research purposes and I have no commercial interest.

The hypothesis of my study is that patients see marked improvement of serious symptoms upon being diagnosed and treated via ILADS guidelines. My college is intending on helping me publish this study. This seems very overwhelming right now for me, but I think it will be a great project for the chronic Lyme community and I am happy to be focusing on it.

If you would like to fill out the survey I would really appreciate your time. Ideally, I would like to have at least 10 respondents per survey. The first one can be accessed by clicking on this link.

Thank you for doing this summer! I had to find an LLMD to get treated, so I don't fall into the category of the first survey, but I will do any of the ones I do fit in with.

I think people like you and med/nursing students who recovered from Lyme disease and are now pushing to try to learn more about it and how to treat it are some of our best hopes for improving the way Lyme is treated. People outside of the medical community (aka patients) often have NO power, as they are dismissed simply because they are not doctors. The more people inside the medical community we can get fighting for us the better!

Hi

I tried to fill it out, but my primary care give did not go past the eliza, which was negative.
I did the western blot through igenex, but through an LLND. It was positive, but all the questions on the survey with regards to the western blot refer to being through the primary caregiver, whom I gave up on after realizing he wasn't going to be open to the possibility of lyme.

Okay, thank you! I am posting a second one which has some questions about both. I should have included a question about how many people were denied even the option of discussing Lyme with their PCP. I will try to add one into the form. Thanks for letting me know.
