With Spring comes a lot of rain, which brings molds which triggered a pretty bad flare up of my symptoms. Mostly neurological and a swollen gland in my neck.
Since I've been working with oils I decided to try some to get the pain and swelling down in my neck.
I have a carrier oil that is mostly almond oil (using the oils full strength can be too harsh), I put a small amount into my palm, then add a few drops of Ravensara, Blue Tansy and Valor oil (a blend from Young Living).
I mix it between my hands and warm it, then apply all over my neck and chest.
These oils are known to help with inflammation and can help with Asthma too. I have all food grade oils, I get them from either Young Living or
Ananda Apothecary
Within a few days I can tell the swelling is cut dramatically.
I've tried different oils for the burning in my lower legs and get a little relief with the Young Living Thieves oil, but it's not been dramatic.
I think that the essential oils seem to be affective because they absorb right into the skin and you can apply them near the area that you need to help. I am still learning a lot and keep hoping I can find something that will help with the burning neuropathy. That seems to be the one symptom that is the most stubborn. I can get relief for a week or two and then it's back again.
While the brain fog isn't back, my word switching is and it makes me nuts. I am also finding my energy levels cycling down again. I know that while I would love to get better in a straight line up, I think in reality I will cycle and dip and then go up and then dip.....
I hope we don't have a rainy summer because mold seems to be the biggest challenge for me.
