Hi folks,
I recently came across the concept of a bucket list again, and decided that this is just the thing to keep me inspired this year. A bucket list was traditionally all the exciting things you wanted to do before you die. But, it seems better to just think about it in terms of a one year list.
As with all of you, I am restricted as to the things I can put on this list even thought I am much better now. I would love to backpack around Australia or walk the Inca trail this year, but that's just not possible currently. Instead, I have come up with a list of 20 realistic (but challenging) things I can achieve this year that are fun, adventurous or just a nice thing to do. These include going whale watching, trying yoga and going ice skating outdoors (I won't bore you with the full list, but you can find it here -http://adventureswithlyme.wordpress.com/).
It sometimes seems that there is nothing fun or nice we can achieve while ill, but that isn't actually the case. Even committing to write an email to a friend, or meet up for a coffee or cook a nice meal can go on that list. It's certainly cheered me up and made me challenge my limitations. What would be on your bucket list this year???
Kirsty
