Over the past week or so I've had this chest pressure in my upper chest that has been constant. I can't figure out what it is, or if it is Lyme related. It is one area of pressure or tightness that feels like something is there but isn't.

My GP says it's Allergies,which I have never suffered from, or GERD, which I do have, but I don't know that it would be constant.

The other thing is that I notice that I am getting out of breath just bringing a load of laundry downstairs.

I had an EKG last week which was normal, my blood pressure has been normal, so I am at a loss for what it is.

I have problems with pressure in my chest and being out of breathe. This has been discussed on here quite a few times, it seems to be pretty common for us.

Yup, ive experienced this! and im only in my early twenties so it certainly is a scary symptom. i have allergies too. my symptoms include frequent shortness of breath when im lying down. my llmd thinks its likely caused by bartonella

Yep...that was a constant symptom also for me. Feels like an elephant is standing on my chest. Lots of popping & cracking in my sternum also. Out of breath doing little things. There is something they do in chinese medicine that helps with the chest tightness. I don't remember what its called but my doc stuck a tiny pin near my armpit & it helped a whole lot to where i rarely feel it now.

I get it too, it's always worse when it's been raining or is humid

I think they call it air hunger? makes me feel like im going to die. I've noticed that laying down on my side or my stomach, taking some deep breaths really helps. Xanax can help too but sometimes not. I think maybe sometimes its the Lyme or Babesia and sometimes it's the anxiety associated with these sicknesses.

Hi AvaG, look into Babesia... I have that in conjunction with Lyme and Bartonella... yes the typical tri-factor.  Your symptoms with the pain and pressure in the chest sound a lot like my Babesia symptoms.  Do you have rib pain as well... both sides, but worse on the left under the breast area?
