Is it OK to continue to use my regular creams, deodorants and powder?  I will be seeing a LLMD July 11th.

It is if you have no problems. I have major problems with everything since Lyme. I buy special shampoo, lotion etc at whole food or another health food store.

Thank you.  Right now I have a rash on my face (ugh) and will watch how this develops.

A rash....hmmmmm.
You may well have chemical sensitivities , many of us with lyme do. I also got rashes.

summer16- have you been taking any antibiotics or supplements that could have caused the rash? i had a severe rash on my face back in april which turned out to be an allergic reaction to antibiotics and sensitivity to the sun. when i saw my dermatologist for it, he said to try to refrain from using a lot of lotions and scented things on my face. he personally recommended vanicream lotion for my face when its dry, but basically said if i used lotion to only use something that is unscented and without certain chemicals. also, try to stay out of the sun or wear sunscreen on your face if you go out. mine got progressively worse when i was out in the hot sun! hope this helps!

No, teeners, I have not started on any treatments, yet.  I have used the same facial Nivea cream for many years.  I have broken out with multiple rashes for quite some time on other parts of my body, too.  I just wrote down the vanicream info.  Thank you.

I will have to write out my introduction as I am a weird case (then again, aren't we all).  I guess there is no introduction blog on this site, ha?

I have many prescription med sensitivites so it is rather scary to think about Lyme's treatment.  I am praying I can get through the treatment.  I really do not want to get the herb route. nono
