CONFUSED AT FINAL RESULTS-END OF THE ROAD?

Hi AGAIN, well all my tests for lyme are back.

I have tested positive for 6 bands MOSTLY from Igenex but 66 from Immunscience:

93

3 bands Igm

41

On the paperwork from Igenex, and Immunosiciences it says you have to have 5 bands specific IgG and 2 of IGM, well i have 6 and 3.

I have just received the last results from Invitalab and it says MELISA negative.

No active lymes.

So does that mean I dont have it now then, but did have it one time.

This is a good result isnt it does it mean I can rest easy and it isnt lymes anymore?

So confused with all this to be honest, and i cant talk to my doctor until the end of the month lol.

My symptoms are worsening the burning in my legs is constant right now, so it is looking perhaps it is MS after all.

Dont know what is going on my legs are just constantly burning now, on fire.

Still it could be good news if the lymes has gone now. thanks for reading.

The ELISA test is not accurate. Many believe it is less than 50% accurate and should never be used as a method of diagnosis.

You are showing several lyme-specific bands (31, 39, 93, 23). These bands do not cross-react with other conditions. I would definitely not rest easy that Lyme is not causing your symptoms. Do you have a LLMD?

I'm not medically trained, but those bands would indicate an Igenex positive. That combined with Lyme symptoms would be enough to convince me to get on aggressive Lyme and co-infection treatment right away. I don't think that your test in any way indicates that Lyme is gone. The tests mentioned here (ELISA and WB) only measure antibodies not the actual infection. There is no test that can show that Lyme has been eradicated. After exposure, Lyme is not gone until your symptoms are gone and even then it is sometimes only dormant or being managed by your immune system.

If you still have doubts after meeting with your doctor (hopefully a LLMD) you could do the advanced lab live culture test. If that is positive, you without a doubt have Lyme.

I'm so glad that you were able to get in sooner!! Waiting is always the hardest part for me!

Yes, these infections are very tricky and elusive to treat! What kind of a doc are you seeing?

That's very understandable!! I think we all think that way, so don't worry about that. I'm really glad to hear that you will be seeing a LLMD, s/he should be able to help you understand what's going on and get you started on some treatment right away!

I have erlichia too but I don't have "burning" in my legs. I have always felt that my co-infections were a different strain but my test for that co-infection was at 80 when first tested. I have a wide variation of tingling/pulsating in legs, numbness in toe, change of sensation in bottom of leg, tingling in face, creepy crawlies...the list goes on and on.... sound sensitivity (that's a big one for me), ringing in ear, ANXIETY....blah blah blah

Tingling and buzzing in my head right now, tingling in face, creep crawlies and now have the blooming rash back i had before which is like a cat scratch and is driving me nuts. I have a little rash on my face too, itch itch itch.

SOUND SENSITIVITY omg me too. Also to you find one minute you are deaf, then you cant stand the noise it drives me insane.

What the hell is going on. My legs are just burning real bad at the moment, spoke to my GP and she has prescribed me lyrica again. I cant stand this pain, and the noise in my head buzzing and fizzing is going to drive me insane.
