I'm wondering if anyone knows of a good llmd in PA. My sister in law thinks my niece may have lyme, and I'd like to find an llmd for her. They live in the Poconos. I know you may not post llmd's on here, but if someone can give me direction or a person to contact, that would be great!

Try emailing InHimWeBelieve he goes to a dr in NE PA. I see one in NY not far from the Poconos, you could contact me too.

For information on finding a Lyme Literate Medical Doctor(LLMD) in your area, please email our long time member, Dan's Mother at:

If you'd like more doctor suggestions, you can email stephanie at: [email protected] You can also go to: www.turnthecorner.org/bod.htm if you want to learn a little bit more about Lyme Disease.

You can also go to The Lyme Disease Association and search for LLMD's 3 times in a month. You have to register first. Here is the link: www.lymediseaseassociation.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=277&Itemid=74

You will want to find an ILADS (International Lyme And Associated Diseases Society) doctor. The ILADS site is a great place to read to get you started on your Lyme journey.

I am in Hershey pa and know of a very well respected LLMD 30 minutes from here. I would be more than happy to share that info with you, please pm me. He accepts bluecrossbluesheild and americana ins. Otherwise he bills out of network. He's a DO and have heard only amazing amzing things. So much that even my pcp and internist at Hershey med recommended I go there bc they know thats where you need to go.... ;) I've just been dx'd and have had it 15+ years.. I'm scared too but we will be ok.

I hope it is OK to post this place. It is out of the closet about treating Lyme
like Hansa is so I guess it is OK???

Pennnsylvania is becoming very active and aggressive in the treatment of lyme and ho lyme doctors are treated also.

There are a few very experienced lyme doctors in Pa if you google. lyme doctors in Pa. This center specializes in testing and treating lyme.

anyway it says something about Lehigh Valey area for this special news show. Is that near you in Poconos?

google them and you can read about the doctor .
there was another doctor in PA that is fighting for lyme treatment.
I have to look for his name.

Hi emylgal,

Welcome to the forum. This is an older thread, we haven't heard from soulone2lymie since May and they don't have their email listed. Usually, if you click on a member's name, their email info comes up.

If you want to receive emails from members, you will need to enable the email option in your profile.

Perhaps someone else will come forward with the doctor's name for you.

You could also try the links I listed above and see if their is a doctor named from Hershey.

I am in central Pa and looking for a Dr to treat my lyme, I wouldnt mind going to hershey, please someone email me with some info, my Dr at geisinger said said it wouldnt hurt to look for a dr, I cant be treated there due to the rules of gmg and cdc. Please help.

Learnlyme is correct. Haverford wellness is not ILADs and I would not recommend someone going there in general. Wendy, I have emailed you the LLMD in Hershey.

Alternatively you can click on my name and shoot me an email. Let me know how central in PA your location is (PA is rather large) so we can find you the closest LLMD!

Hi, recently diagnosed with Lymes.  Family doc treated me with 3 weeks doxy but symptoms are coming back.  I beleive I may have had it for awhile but dr. does not agree.  Anyone know a good LLMD in southeast or central PA?  Preferably one who accepts BC.

This forum is full of supportive, knowledgeable people. I'd like to suggest that you take a look at the thread at the top of the page titled: "New to Lyme?..Start Here!" It is full of good information.
The more informed you are, the better off you will be when treating lyme disease.

I'm hoping some members will have names of LLMD's for you.

Another way to find one, is to contact ILADS for a Physician Referral. Here is the link:
