I am back
anyways the salad dressing I make at home to avoid all the hydrogenated oils, sugars and frankenfoods is : apple cider vinegar, olive oil, sea salt , fresh pepper , italian herbs, garlic powder, celery powder , onion powder , fresh lemon juice ( 2 lemons )
I do eat some fruit ( but usually feel crappy after) , I eat alot of vegetables , esp the leafy greens ( kale , spinach , swiss chard , beet greens ... etc) . Sweet potatoes w/butter n cinnamon . eggs, all meats . I try to eat protein at all meals .
When I am having trouble with my jaw aching or clenching , or gotten too low bloodsugar to feel well enough to eat ,or for any other time I am having a hard time eating . I will make one of a few smoothies ... One is like a yummy lime green pudding
... ingredients are 1 avacado 1 banana 1 cup of unsweetened almond milk ( I like the blue diamond brand ) , and one heaping tbsp of brown rice protein powder . Another shake I like to make is 3/4 cup whole fat plain stonyfield yogurt , 1 banana , frozen berries ( unsweetened ) , 1 scoop of whey protein powder I like the solgar brand . sometimes I will use brewers yeast powder too ( I have researched this one , because it uses the word"yeast " I worried about
candida but it is not an off limits food on a low candida diet , so that is good because it is packed with vitamins and essential minerals , its made from beet ,.. any root veggies are going to have a good amt of minerals ) .
Mainly though my rules are nothing overly processed , avoid wheat /gluten , some dairy but try to stick to the aged dairy so the lactose and casein is eaten up , some fruit but trying to avoid most of it due to sugar content , allow all meats , seafood , fish , any veggies ( not so much on the nightshade family though .. tomatoes , potatoes , peppers , eggplant ) , if I am craving a carby meal I will use brown rice tortillas or brown rice pasta . I can make some nice flat breads grilled in either olive oil or butter with melted cheddar etc. .. I use those brown rice tortilla flats to make pizzas on too ( I really dont miss pizza as this fills the void ) . I like to prepare thai type dishes , pretty easy with a stirfry just add coconut milk &curry paste , some fish sauce .
Oh and I wanted to say I use the SO brand of unsweetened coconut milk for shakes and other things , I use the almond milk with a tsp of maple syrup and some pumpkin pie spice and frappe it and its kinda like the healthy alternative to a coffee colatta
I could go on , I have come up wth alot of alternatives to wheat /gluten .
