Hi there everyone, first of all SO MUCH GRATITUDE for you all and this awesome forum...

Since I started a treatment for lyme and bartonella 3 months ago (I'm taking samento, cumanda, and byron white's a-l and a-bart) a few things/symptoms have started happening to me and I'm wondering if they're normal... or if anyone else has experienced them upon starting treatment...

The first is the most benign... I'm suddenly sleeping a ton (like 11 hours a night) whereas before I'd sleep 6-7 and still be tired. I'm just alarmed to be waking up so late, since usually I wake up at the crack of dawn.

The second... I've stopped getting my periods (I'm 33).

The third... forgive me for this one... a lot of mucus and some blood in stool..

I'm wondering if these could be results of the treatment? Or symptoms of progressing lyme...

Hi,

Though I can't say much for the period part as I am a gentlemen, I can comment on the other two.

At the start of my treatment I slept a ton. During sleep is when your body is fighting the hardest. I basically lived in 12 hour shifts. Awake 10-10 and sleep 10-10. As you progress any your energy improves you will sleep less. But that took me a little while.

Blood in my stool was one of the first symptoms that I had, I was diagnosed with acid reflux problems first. It very well could be lyme but I would still get that checked out.

Sleeping longer is normal when going through treatment. You're body is fighting hard and need to extra rest.
Talk to your Dr. about blood in stool. Can be from many things.
