Questions about this forum

I jsut want to say that I havent been a member here for very long , and everyone has been nice to me etc. But I will admit that I am becoming uncomfortable with something I keep noticing happen here . At first I thought I was reading more into it , but then I see others react in much the same way I feel about the shut down of information and the control tactics on here . It seems that the information that flows through here is controlled and not in a natural way I see on other forums . I understand having forum rules , I have been a part of other forums both health related and other .

I understand that the moderators here are enforcing the forum rules .
But who is it that runs this forum ? Is it the administrator of Healing Well that dictates what we can and cannot discuss in terms of medicines , treatments etc ?

I believe in freedom of speech  and open sharing of information , It seems like there are "fear tactics " being used . I mean there are risks to herbal medicines and even antibiotics ! Why is it that  when someone suggests or shares info to an alternative form ( i.e. meds labeled for animals ) its like a military attack and lock down response here ? It just feels sketchy  , like maybe the admin of this site has their hands in someones pocket ??? Something seems fishy to me  , I just get that impression . Imean there is free speech everywhere on the internet , You can go to places like curezone and they share all kinds of alternative treatments and  openly allowed to discuss and share ... what is the real reason its not allowed here ???

I am not sure this forum is the place for me  . They claim its for the "safety " of our posters, but I am not sure I believe that anymore . Esp where antibiotic treatment is allowed and so aren't any herbal remedy , which both can be dangerous depending on how they are used , yet using an alternative med not labeled for human consumption ... well so what , hydrogen peroxide is not labeled for injesting but do the research it has healed people ( for one example ) .  There are risks involved in taking any treatment , why is it the admins here get to pick and choose what we share for info ? If they are concerned about liabilty  , I am sure a simple disclosure like any other site uses would cover that factor . So beyond that I am not liking the vibes I am getting . I know I am welcome to go elsewhere , and I very well may choose to do so , because I  have already been fed up with the system of medical doctors and the insurance issues and government views and involvement surrounding lyme  . I certainly do not want to be a member of a group where we are bound by rules that coudl prevent the sharing of knowledge and encounters of the very information that could be healing us of this lyme / co-infection hell on earth .

Personally I know first hand that medications ( under drug names ) labeled for use on animals are the SAME product as used in human consumption . I know this because myself and other people I know that own kennels save ourselves money by purchasing for example antibiotics labled for use in fish tanks , on our dogs or other animals for a fraction of the price ! There was a website online who researched this topic heavily and came to the conclusion that in order to sell without prescription the same product must come with the disclaimer that not for use on humans , although it is manufactured in the same labs that the human grade product is ! Whenever there is real need for antibiotic use in my kennel such as a dog who's just had pups and is displaying the signs of say a uterine infection , I give the proper antibiotic and like magic by the next morning the dog is completely turned in the right direction , perked up and back on their feet eating and wagging again !  I also have had friends of mine ask to use my doxy ( labeled for fish tank use ) , and had no ill effects and only good results for what ailed them at the time . I know plenty of farmers , horse and dog people who admit to having used their animal dewormers in the proper dosages according to weight as well . If you know what the active ingredients are and waht dosages to use , its no more of  a risk than taking the human labeled products taht cost ungodly prices that many of us cannot afford and do not have insurance to get . 

I have had vets teach me how ot  mix my own "Albon" ( tradename dewormer) for a fraction of the cost , by buying the active ingredients and mixng my own at home . .. for example albon is like $50 for a small bottle at the vets , only enough to treat one litter of pups , but if you buy the gallon jug of liquid sulfur med for $35 and buy either Dyne Calorie supplement or use Karo syrup or maple syrup as a  base ... you can make gallons of it at home and treat a 30 dog kennel all year for only $40 !!!!!  Same exact product , and works wonderfully ... just avoiding paying for the name brand

Its called getting around the system , and being resourceful . Its not dangerous ,especially if people are allowed to share their experiences and allowed to discuss where to get safe products , and how to dose accordingly etc..

It is beyond me why a site where so many people are desperate and suffering and we all agree we are NOT getting the treatment thru conventional medicine , would shun our freedom to openly share information on ways to be able to afford medications and treatments and get better .

Id love to hear a response from the ADMINISTRATOR as to WHAT the reasons are to this particular rule . It seems that so many of the posters on here have been upset and unhappy about this rule . Maybe its time for a change , seems how not all forums have this rule , so apparently its not a necessity , its a choice to have it that way.

I posted this publically because for one I did not know who the admin was , for 2 I can't figure out how to disable the messaging on here and for 3 I did want to address my feelings towards this particular rule which puts a filter on the flow of ALL information, as a group, I want other members opinions on this . Because after all we are a forum "group " I am always open to hearing views , sometimes its enlightening to hear another stance and it may change my views .

Thankyou Heathersdad I really would like to stay , I just am not use to the kind of reactions and shut downs . I have been on many forums and I just have never noticed them to go to the extremes they do here . I understand about spammers etc and weeding them out , and I agree with that . But I have noticed that its sometimes done in such a way with a tone so that legitimate posters become offended because they are not first asked of their intents etc. I just end up feeling kinda bad as a group for newcomers who are only trying to be helpful.

And as for the rules and if I thread does need to be locked or deleted , I dont think its necessary to use a "tone" with folks complete with tisk tisk smileys etc.... one quick sentence pointing out where they are not posting in accordance to a rule would be more sufficient , no need to condemn and belittle anyone.
