MY GIFT TO YOU

As the holidays approach, I wish you all a year ahead of healing and wellness. 

But more importantly, I want to share to keep the faith as there is so much hope to get well.

I had been ill since approximately 2005 and progressively got worse until I found my current LLMD in 2009.  It has been a long long haul to say the least with my husband and son also diagnosed with lyme and coinfections during that time. 

I never ever thought I would feel as well as I do now.  I think the hardest thing for me was thinking and accepting that I would have to live with feeling horrible both physically and mentally for the rest of my life.  Lo and behold, I am feeling well with a clear, calm mind and happy positive thoughts everyday.  I am still treating and new problems arise all the time but once you get into the mode of wellness again, it is easier to see the light at the end of the tunnel and meet those challenges head on.

I too would like to wish everyone a very wonderful Christmas - as the wonders are out there if we look. They can be in friends, family or in a simple snuggle with your cat or dog.

I wish everyone here - and elsewhere - a healing New Year! There are so many things we can do to encourage better health - most of them get discussed here! We have the power to heal, no matter how long we've been ill!

I too have been ill for a very long time, and yet, I too am healing quite well!! In 2007 I was bed ridden, with no working memory, and seizures (& much, much more) to having a garden, dairy goats that I milk twice every day, and chasing around 2 Grandsons now! Healing is there for each of us! It's been a long and often bumpy road, but more than worth it!

As Springsjean said, keep the faith that healing will happen!

I also thought for a long time that I would never get better, especially that long period of time (over a year) that I lost the use of my legs.  I thought that was it, that I was going to be crippled.  I remember it first started off with me falling down all the time and I couldn't understand why that was.  Then the pain in both my legs were horrible, it was one of the rare times in my life when I was screaming out loud in pain.  I needed crutches to go anywhere (most of the time I was bedridden).

But I did get better and knock on wood, stayed better.  Hard to believe that I have been doing aerobic walking for miles for years now.  I also had a career change due to lyme, and looking back now that was a gift by itself.  Life changes and sometimes we need to change with it and I guess I accepted it all (not easy in the beginning) for without acceptance I couldn't move on. 

So for those who don't feel any hope, there IS hope!  And we are all here to give you our guidance, the lessons we learned that got us better, and our support.
