Let me start out by saying-
This is only my opinion, and I'm not very nice to doc's when I know more than they do. I most often get up and leave in the middle of the appt. I mean, why stay if they don't know more than I do, or can't stand to have someone who wants to understand what the treatments entail and all of the details that might include. -
But that's me.
Questions like that need to be answered. You need to know that your doc is using the most up to date information and his/her thinking on these things to know that you are getting the best possible treatment so that you can heal with the least amount of residual issues.
No need to ignore co-infections that could possibly stop you from healing from Lyme disease. No reason to not tell your patients about
detoxing (for those docs who actually know about
it), or can't/won't answer questions that they should be able to answer.
But, as I said, that's just me
