Oh Opugirl,
You're having a rough time of it lately! I'm so sorry! My paranoia got really bad at one point. Fortunately my youngest daughter (28 yrs old) and I are extremely close - best friends still even!! - because she was the only one who could 'talk me down' one time.
Although I know now that it was the Lyme disease that caused it, there's no telling what set it off(if anything), but I really thought my husband was out "to get me". Now I had no idea exactly what 'out to get me' really meant, but I was positive of it - even though he had been extremely supportive up to that point. It took my daughter taking the day off and coming to 'talk me down' that I got through it. Even then I made her promise (with tears streaming down my face) on my life, her life and the life of her future husband & kids (crazy, huh?) that
she wasn't out to 'get me' as well, and if my hubby was, I could call her!!! LOL!! I was bad off at that point! She promised me with all the same conditions (
) that I could trust my hubby to not 'get me'. I didn't sleep at all the next few nights as I had to talk myself down because the paranoia was still there! I was a mess and a half!
Our brains seem to latch onto something and we can't let it go. It's bizarre that we can't let it go or what our brains latch onto sometimes.
Hang in there!!! You'll feel better the further into treatment you get! Thinking of you and sending healing, calming thoughts to you!!
