inflamation soooooooo bad nothing has worked :(

I have tried everything I can afford

I have inflamation so bad, i tried curamed, curmain

I have tried cats claw, on so many supplements from the llmd, that I find, his work may help others,

but not me.....

I have done infrared saunas, ion foot baths, epsom salt baths, skin brushing for months, years,

I have done accupuncture, holistic 'healers' , psychologists for the emotional stuff

meditation,yoga, trying to be positive as I can

art, music,

I have spent over a hundred thousand dollars through the years, with trying to surrive, paying others to help and medical care

the money is gone, spent money on everything I could think of, from various drs, etc 

tea, green juices, protein shakes, organic fruit, veggies, grass fed chicken,

cabs, hotels, flights, thousands and thousands of dollars spent...

and none of my clothes fit due to the infIlamation

I am sick everyday, all the time

and nothing thus far has worked for the weight,inflamation

I am the biggest size in certain plus size clothes store

I am so uncomfortable, it is so surreal

I dont know what else to do

doing the same thing, getting no results...

there has to be something out there that will help my body detox

and all

there has to be a wining lotto ticket or something...

I feel like I am going to burst

something has to give

something has to come up differently

lyme disease is the worst thing that has ever happened to me

there is nothing good from this constant hell

not enough that has made this experience worth it

I keep praying for change....

It seems a lot of us are having down times- could it be the weather that is contributing. I remember even when I was well this was a hard time of year for me. And with all this- it just seems like this horrible feelings will never end...but we have to hang in there and hope and pray that there will be better days ahead. I keep thinking that spring will be better with better days. Keep your chin up and just put one foot in front of the other...we are all here for you!

I am sorry to hear about your miserable inflammation that you have had for so long. There is an answer to your solution. It is obvious that you have an open mind., You have spent a lot of money in trying to do a lot of different things. I am asking you to be open to considering yet another possible solution.

Anybody that has been as sick as you are, and has as much inflammation as you have, by definition, almost certainly has suppressed adrenal function. I have found that most MD's are ignorant about a lot of issues, but a few are knowledgeable about the endocrine glands. Has a competent doctor ever performed both the saliva and blood tests for adrenal function? If your cortisol levels are low, then trying to treat systemic inflammation with supplements/herbals is little more than a bandaid approach.

Unfortunately most MD's are as ignorant about cortisol as they are about Lyme. Some are too quick to use high dosages to treat inflammation- hence the bad name for cortisol. Others, while understanding the danger of high levels of cortisol, overreact, and won't prescribe it unless you have full-blown Addisons Disease, and are ready to die.

There is a happy middle ground that most doctors are loathe to consider. The goal is to have "physiological" or normal levels of cortisol. What a novel idea! If your levels are low, then the doctor would prescribe only low dosages of cortisol.

Heather has not been sick at all for the last 3 years. However she has not quite had the endurance that she would have expected by now. Also, she has been overtraining in her swim practices. She also has always noticed that her body is always sore from her swim practices. Dr. J. has been treating her endocrine glands, but they have not fully responded. Dr. J. suggested the cortisol tests. The results showed below reference-range cortisol values. A knowledgeable LLMD did the blood tests and then prescribed the relatively low-dose cortisol. The results are VERY impressive. Over-exercising was causing stressors, and gradually an inflammatory condition in Heather's body. The regular low doses of bio-identical cortisol have almost entirely eliminated the muscular pain that Heather has had for many years. The goal will be to treat her adrenals to recovery, and then to gradually wean her off of the cortisol.

You have had an extreme level of stress upon your body for years. This has probably served to create either adrenal insufficiency or adrenal fatigue. Guess what? The issue of adrenal fatigue is just as controversial in the mainstream medical community as Lyme is! The blood tests are not always accurate either.

I have been posting links to Endocrine Gland related articles lately. I would suggest that you read them and also to read the posts on cortisol, endocrine glands, and hydrocortisone forums. Their member's complaints about the ignorance in the medical community are just as profound as those found on Lyme forums.

You will have to careful in finding the right doctor to evaluate you. Most Lyme sufferer's know how ignorant Infectious Disease Doctors are when it comes to Lyme Disease. Likewise, some Endocrinologists will refuse to treat patients with almost lethally low levels of cortisol. it is really unhealthy to have EITHER low or high levels of cortisol. Another thing to consider- the adrenals also impact thyroid and immune function.

If this possible issue has already been checked out- then I apologize for this almost rant, and for wasting your time. Please don't just accept what any doctor may say to you, without first doing the appropriate tests!

Didn't get a chance to read all replies yet. But I def relate to the inflammation. I can't take any NSAIDs (not even sure if they'd help), but the inflammation gets so bad I feel like my ribs might snap. It's usually at its worse in the a.m. and again at night, but lately it's persisting all day. I've been on a liquid diet, it's too painful to eat "real" food. There's no room for it! Some days, when I wake up to take my meds, I'm so "inflamed" I can barely swallow my meds.

Hope2be, let me look over what my LLMD wrote on my "plan" as far as supplements. I can't remember which, but I know he recommended something for inflammation. We had a long conversation about it, as I was just in the ER a few days before my appt with him.

I had a huge "lump" on my ribs, under my left breast. I was terrified it was my spleen, but after tons of blood work, a CT scan, etc. the ER dr was baffled. Low and behold, it was just Lyme! Major, major inflammation. It's crazy what we have to go through.

I hope you find something that helps, and if I do I'll keep you posted. May I ask, are you on any special diet? I only ask b/c my LLMD told me no dairy, soy or gluten. Perhaps cutting out some of this stuff might alleviate some of the symptoms. Idk, I can only hope!

Lymeinthecoconut-so glad you mention the gluten! That's part of my diet plan, gluten free. So happy to hear it helps in reducing the inflammation! I was hoping this might be the case :)
