Hi all,
In the past I have posted about having some bone grafting done for implants so I can wear a implant supported denture.
Well, I lost most of my upper teeth due to an accident where I was run over in my legs in 1974 by a speeding car when I was crossing a street and since had bridges, some lasted longer than others, now I have upper dentures and I have such a hard time wearing them (I am a gagger, can't help it).
about 2 years ago my bottom teeth started to become loose and a couple fell out, yep, I looked like a Jack-O-Lantern, lol! So I went to another dentist and she told me that the rest of my bottom teeth were in bad shape so I had them extracted (all at one time), no, it did not hurt.
Now I am talking to a fantastic prosthodontist who will make me upper and lower teeth after I have bone grafting done in my upper gum and then get implants done.
This is not cheap. We are talking around over $30,000 and thank goodness my Mom who is 87 is going to pay for it.
Yet, there is this insurance company who was supposed to pay for anything accident related (I was awarded this in 1976) and after calling them they are playing games with me which is stressing me out to no end.
It's not the work I need done that stresses me, I am actually looking forward to it! It's this insurance company that is giving me anxiety!
That's all, just needed to vent.
Denise
