Hi everyone! I had a great appt with my neurologist today. I'm all clear and don't need to see him until May. He said he also learned a lot about
Lyme! When I first met with him at the end of December he didn't know too much! Well he now knows a lot because he wanted to better serve me and future Lyme patients!
It says a lot when a doctor who has been practicing for 30+ years still wants to learn so he/she can serve their patients and know how to better help them!
He believes all of my symptoms WILL go away with proper treatment. I have a few spots in my celleberum but we both believe they too will go away with treatment.
I was just happy that he really educated himself on Lyme! So glad there are still doctors out there that are about
their patients and aren't stuck in the past or go to a textbook for everything!
Just had to share! My gait is off and he did confirm that there is a disturbance in the vestibular area but again its Lyme. It will go away (I already claimed the victory).
Press on everyone!

Yahoo! Good for you, and way to go Neurologist! This is how it SHOULD be!
I'm so glad you have found the support you need, and that he thinks with treatment you'll fully recover!! Cheers to that! With my lemon water, of course ;-)

I wish some of us could clone our doctors LOL! I would have never found him if it werent for my doctor. She referred me to him. Good doctors rock! I'm blessed and pray that everyone on here finds good doctors or if they have one to share the wealth

What a refreshing story!!!
You are right. The really great doctors are always the student, and humble enough to admit that they may still be able to learn something new from someone else.

That's awesome! My MD in Florida did the same. When I was diagnosed with Lyme he learned everything he could. He even took 10 days off from his practice to go to the conference in Toronto. It is awesome that there are still sane doctors out there willing to learn new things.
