Volunteer(s) needed!!!!

Traveller and others who help to moderate,
I just want to say thank you for all you do. I do facilitation in the real world so in theory I could help with this but I find I can't spend too much time on the forum or it makes me depressed. I love the support that people show to each other here but I find the amount of suffering to be overwhelming and frankly it makes me angry toward the medical community. I think it takes a special person who can watch over this community and guide people and I greatly appreciate what you do.

That said, I'm also glad you are asking for help when you need it. I'm sure that your Dad's illness as well as your own just gets to be too much. It has been wonderful to see how people have rallied in this thread.

Forgive me for being so short and to the point right now - the Home health nurse was just here and I need to go get electrolytes for 'Dad', as well as adrenal meds for me (!!).

If you all would chip in as you are saying, talking to those who are interested in the info that you do know, that would sure go a long way in keeping me here!! I sooo appreciate you all!!! You are definitely my family! Thank you!!

I will always be available by email to you all.....any time. Whenever I can get to my computer with a couple of minutes to send off an answer or suggestions, I will - I promise!!
If there is someone who is trying to sell something (anything), or if they want to recruit any of us for anything - even if it does sound like a good idea, it's likely against the rules without prior approval, so email me or Don so that we can step in and take care of it.

Wow, I am just blown away by the people on this thread.

First of all, I am in awe of Traveler as the rest of you are. There are several good reasons why she is the Head Moderator. One of them is that she embodies the spirit of what this forum is about. She is a great example for me as well as others. She's not perfect, but she is close! I do have questions about the devilish emoticon though. I always suspected that there was another side to Trav!

Heathersdad is in! I am increasingly aware that we are a functioning "family" here. Its not easy to walk away from family, so I won't How can I look into the eyes of the "baby" and cavalierly walk away? I can't.

I feel like Trav does. A lot of people made a lot of very nice comments about me- some of which stretch reality a bit. I guess that we are all in the Twilight Zone in more ways than one! At any rate, I will work on being a better moderator to serve you better. I won't mention any other names, as I would have to write a paragraph to each person, and I am too lazy to do that right now! I appreciate every kind word that has been made by every person here.

I think that WWJD's suggestion is a great one, but I think that it is a little late. I say this because I have noticed that some people have already started to implement that suggestion! There are quite a few people that have natural credentials in their areas of interest and experience. I will still continue to greet new members, but I think that newcomers would really appreciate a welcome from a "veteran" that has specific knowledge and experience that applies to their area of concern/questions.
