Hi all,
I'm feeling a little better than I have, and finally feeling up for tackling the disability issue again.
Isn't it ironic that when we're most needing disability we don't have any energy to struggle with it, and when we're feeling well enough to engage it, it's the LAST thing we want to think about?
Still, my finances are alarmingly close to running out, and being able to make a living still seems a ways away. So I give it a try.
My first question is has anyone here been able to get disability? If so, what other diagnosis(es) did you get it under (I know that disability for Lyme is practically non-existent.)
My issue is that I don't have a lot of medical records through MD's. I have tons of medical history, but mostly through naturopaths, chiros, etc.
On top of that, I think if I use an MD to get disability, I would have to be receiving treatment through them. I ran into this before, and had to give up on the process because I didn't agree with the doctor's approach.
I feel that my body is too sensitive for the antibiotic/prescription drug route. And it's likely that some diagnostic tests will have adverse effects as well.
I am looking for MD's who might be understanding in working with someone who is highly chemically and EMF sensitive, who might be able to work with finding me a proper (widely accepted) diagnosis, but who will still be compatible with my main care, which is through the Hansa Center.
If anyone here has a doctor who you think might be able to work with me, please let me know by private message. While I'm guessing that for disability I need someone in my state of residence, I would consider moving for the right doctor. I'm already kind of wandering between doctors and the homes of relatives, so I'm kind of used to it.
My preference is for states in the western half of the country, because that's where I have the most connections/support, and there's more wilderness where I can get away from EMF's and environmental toxins. Florida could also work as I have family there.
Thanks
