Ummm, Jupitergma stated several times she is sticking with Dr. J's protocol.  That is her choice and please respect it.

I have no idea why people feel so threatened by alternative medicine.  What do you think antibiotics are made from?  Have you asked your doctor?  Ask your lyme literate doctors and see if they have the honesty to tell you.  You may be in for a big surprise.

Try researching the ingredients of antibiotics on the "net"...  I bet you won't find it because the big pharma business does not want you to know.   Have you asked yourselves why they don't want you to know?

Also, have you heard the news about Zithromax (azithromycin, z-pac, z-max)?

It can cause heart problems.

Again, this is a support forum so please support everyone's choices for whatever protocol they choose.

Welcome to the forum. We have a lot of knowledgeable and willing people that are anxious to help you and to also hear what you have to say. I would encourage you to take a look at the thread entitled "New to Lyme....Start here?" It has a lot of good information that is useful for anyone that has this illness. Please tell us more about yourself, so that we can know you better.

I second what Deejavu has said. We all have personal opinions as to what kind of treatment is best, and I am not shy to voice my opinion. However, if a person states that they are committed to their treatment approach, then it is best to lay off and not to pressure them, even if you disagree with them. It was a lesson that I had to learn, and I am now passing that advice on to others.

Hi Denise,

I definitely plan on doing the coffee enemas and plan on starting tomorrow. It's part of the protocol and with good reason; it's one of the best forms of detoxification as explained in your link above.

For the sake of others who believe that antibiotics are the only way to go, I'm adding this information that you emailed to me:

"Dr. J. did a LUAT Test (Lyme Urine Antigen Test) which compared 2 sets of people. One set of people took antibiotics and the other set only took Borrelogen. The test was sent to IgeneX and found that Borrelogen killed about 3 or 4 times (maybe higher) the amount of lyme bacteria compared to antibiotics. Interesting huh?"

Yes, very interesting.

Thanks so much for the welcome. I have read the "New to Lyme" info.. several times. I don't retain information quite as well as I used to.

I seem to be doing very well Dr J's protocol already. My story is a pretty long one. It's WAY past my bedtime and I'm sinking fast. If you want, feel free to read my story in my previous posts. I'm pretty sure most of my history is there.

just to encourage you to do the enemas smilewinkgrin

I've been doing them for about 2 months now (3-4 times a week), and it really clears up my head instantly - very strange feeling.

Even my husband joins in once in a while (he's always eager to test things he doesn't know - lol).
