In 17 months, I have gone from a very active lifetime runner and weight lover to a guy tired, with joint pain. Also losing subcutaneous fat with skin wrinkling, and there are other issues. Very concerned about that.
I had a rare disorder called Sweets Syndrome in Oct. 2011, which started this whole journey. By Dec. of that year, I had light red ovals forming on different parts of body, followed by what looked like fat atrophy. No doctor knew what to do until recently, a rheumotologist who studied at Yale did a lyme disease tests, which indicated possible lymes. Is the loss of fat and skihn problems indicative of lymes?
She followed that with a Western Blot from Igenix, which resulted as follows:
IGM - Band 30 + 31 + 34 IND 39 IND 41++++ 66 ++ rest of bands were -
IGGBand 39 IND 41++ 58+ rest of bands were negative
Not sure what all that means. I am now on Doxycyline, but I don't know if tests appear to show I have lyme disease. I live near Atlanta, GA and am outdoors a lot. One infectious diosease doctor said I couldn't have lymes because I had not been in the northeast.
Anyone know for sure if tests indicate lymes? I am very tired and very worn out. Have three kids and need to get active again and get back to full life.
Thanks, and God bless.
