www.mistymeadows.org/wendy.htm Look for the tile that says, "Lyme Disease: A Practitioners Experience and Discovery". In that pdf, look for the "Chronic Tonic". That's the recipe that I used, only my practitioner had me make it differently than the recipe calls for (although we didn't change the ingredients or the amounts), which may change how the herbs work, I'm not sure. My practitioner had me take 13 grams of the mixed dry herbs and combine it with 4 cups of boiling water, and allow to steep for 30 minutes. Cool and drink one cup of the tea four times a day.
I used this for 9 months and have been doing quite well with the Lyme symptoms since stopping it a year ago. Just so that you know, I was first infected with Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever at the age of 7 (I'll be 50 in a few months), and have been an avid outdoors person this whole time, even when quite ill. So I was infected and without effective treatment for 47 years. The one LLMD that I did see for a year told me that we had to assume that I had all of the tick-borne infections due to my exposure level and the number and severity of my symptoms.
I don't believe that any one treatment will heal everyone, as these infections play on our body's weaknesses, so what works for one won't necessarily work for another, but Holistic treatments only make sense to me. We need to support the body & it's "functionings" in order to give it a chance to heal, since it obviously can't do it all on it's own, or we wouldn't be so ill!
No matter what treatment you use, if used properly and you aren't seeing results of some kind in 3 months, it's time to do something different!
