On Day 4, Dr Jernigan saw that Nikki was not responding to the medicines. This is something we have seen with the antibiotics as well. She has always been able to take these drugs with no effect - positive or negative. So Dr Jernigan began to focus on getting her body to respond. He gave us some medicine to try to bring on a fever as I don't recall her having a high temp after the time of her first tick bite. On Thursday, it went to 98,6 and Friday, it went to 99.6. Her typical temp is 97.
Both days 4 and 5, she did all the therapies, ( infra-red sauna, Lux, ionic footbath and ST-8)
In addition she is really struggling with sleep. Insomnia has been part of her symptoms and she has not had much sleep since we got here.
Day 6, we added Life Vessel treatment . She did a 1 hour session. Also Dr Jernigan gave her a remedy to promote sleeping and some remedies to work against all the antibiotics that she took earlier.
Day 7, she woke up with a bad headache and her muscles felt really sore. This can be an expected side effect of the Life Vessel. She is doing 2 one-hour sessions in the Life Vessel today.
We haven't seen any amazing changes yet but we still feel that this is a much better approach. The other patients we speak with have had improvements and we know we are building her body back up. She has always been a tough case. We are still hopeful to see some positives. Post Edited (BackToTheTurf18) : 4/16/2013 8:06:59 PM (GMT-6)
