I have had time to think about ACT for the last 4 years, ever since I became aware of it. I have a lot of different thoughts, both positive and negative.
When my daughter began relapsing 4 years ago, I frantically began to once again do my research for a cure- but this time, it had to be an approach that was radically different. With respect to ACT I saw various patient testimonies in lyme forums and on Youtube, and they sounded credible to me.
I spoke to Gary Blier on the phone. He sounded level-headed, and the approach sounded reasonable in light of the 30 day money back guarantee. I then decided that I would give the ACT a try. I hadn't paid any money yet or participated in a session. I was just keeping the possibility in the back of my mind for a few days, unless I found something that sounded better to me.
As events turned out, we then decided to go to the Hansa Center for our daughter's treatment. We found out that she needed some hands-on treatment that was unique to her situation and physiology. Her doctor and the treatments at the Hansa Center provided that. There were several large issues and many smaller issues that had to be resolved to make her well.
Today I am not against ACT in theory. The principles of ACT and those of Hansa have a partial overlap. Hansa doctors believe in prayer, positive energy, and energetic frequencies that provide relevent information to the body's cells for healing as well as ACT. The treatments at the Hansa Center involve a lot more than those issues, however. In addition, the bioenergetic requirements for any given patient is unique for that patient. It definitely is not a cookie cutter approach at the Hansa Center.
There is no way that I believe simply providing bioenergetic information to the cells of my daughter's body would have been sufficient to heal her on its own. She was proven to have structural issues that created a chaotic state in her Autonomic Nervous System. A defect of that nature cannot be overridden by any amount of proper information to the cells-on its own.
I also question the cookie-cutter approach of everybody listening to a predetermined audio selection. How could anyone know what any single individual needs without a thorough examination of the patient? There doesn't seem to be any testing performed.
There may be a set of frequencies/information that are known to be resident in healthy people at all places and all times. Proper application of these frequencies may be beneficial to all people, but that is not the same as saying that they can heal anyone. My opinion is that ACT could possibly serve as a beneficial adjunct therapy as part of a multi-faceted treatment approach.
Is it capable of healing anyone on its own? I don't know. I do think that it could be beneficial, but its hard for me to see how it could be used as a mono-therapy in a situation involving an extremely debilitated patient. I feel that the more complex the situation, the less likely that a silver bullet approach is viable.
I refuse to reject ACT out of hand, since its principles, on a theoretical basis, seem to correspond to things that I already believe to be fact. Its just that it seems to me that it bypasses other crucial elements. There is no diagnostician, and there are no other treatments. I feel that this approach is weighted almost entirely to the emotional/spiritual/bioenergetic aspect of the human being, and neglects other aspects of a human beings composition where dysfunction may exist as well.
I suppose that even if it does not make perfect logical sense to the person considering it, that it may be worth a try as long as the money back guarantee is still valid. Once again- this is only my 2 cents!
