Will herbs negate a lyme test?

I am not able at this time to get tested for lyme - although I had the bullseye rash and have many of the symptoms.  Due to my health at this time I really want to get started on treating it, but I also would like confirmation that I have lyme.

My question is - can I start to take the herbs for lyme and still get a positive test later?  Or will starting to take herbs cause any test I take to show negative for lyme?

If I can start herbs now without messing up a test, how long can I take them before they might start to mess up the test?

Herbs would not affect a test for lyme antibodies, so herb away~

Bull's eye rash + symptoms = Lyme. No test needed, even according to the CDC.

Ditto to what Razzle said - you have the conformation in the Bull's eye rash - it's the skin form of Lyme disease.

Thanks for all your replies.  If I had the bull's eye rash and symptoms, then do I not need to do any testing for it?  Do I still need to test for co-infections or are there specific symptoms that would indicate I have one or more of them? 

bdoc - I have Buhner's book and am planning to try the herbs he recommends.  Although I am always open to suggestions - I will experiement until I find what works.  I do not want to take antibiotics if I can heal without.

I would suggest that you read through our 'New to Lyme?" thread at the top of the forum - you will find symptom lists there that you can go through. The tests for all of these infections leave a lot to be desired. Many false negatives.

As far as your choice for treatment, I would suggest that you be sure to stick to only one protocol at a time - at least for a few months to see if they will work for you. After 2 or 3 months you'll know. Mixing things up before that will only make it much harder to know if and what may be working for you.
