Has anyone had any experience with Dr. S in Howell, NJ? I would love to get some feedback.

He's very dry. I also felt he was curt in his appointments.

There are a few other things that bothered me as well.

He relied on a negative Babs test to tell me that I don't have Babs, yet I've that these blood tests only pick up 1 out of 25 cases of Babs. This made me uncomfortable with his reliance on the test.

He may do very well with straight-forward cases, but he seemed rather un-engaging about my situation overall.

I am being treated by this doctor in Howell, NJ.  He does have a quiet manner and doesn't offer a lot of advice.  He is very matter of fact and states "You will get well".  I am a nurse and have dealt with many doctors and their personalities.  This doc will answer your questions. 

 Do you have symptoms of Bartonella?  You have to be very specific about listing your symptoms. 

So far I am happy with him and I am starting to feel quite a bit better.

Hi,

Was with him for 1 1/2 years and no better.

He is very nice but also very quiet. Very hard to get info out of him with treatment plan and such.

Also kept saying how much better I look even though I told him I felt worse.

Good thing is he's inexpensive and took insurance so worth a try.

fricfrac, I am assuming you changed doctors?????  If so, are you feeling any better now and what do you attribute it to?

I also see Dr S. and I agree with some of the other comments that he is on the quiet side, but I like him. I think he is very knowledgeable but you have to ask for info. as he won't necessarily volunteer advice regarding supplements,detox,etc.

I also see the see him...going tomorrow as a matter of fact. Yes he is dry, but I like his positive attitude like said above he keeps telling me I will get well which I NEED to hear.

He will answer any questions you have he is just not "chatty". I have had much more improvement since seeing him in November. Plus I like that he incorporates herbs into the mix.

I was seeing a prominent LLMD in NY but am happy I made the switch. I have to drive long distances no matter what LLMD I see, and I will switch again if I feel the need to . But right now he works with me and for me.

Chris.. I always get a chuckle when I read that cartoon while I'm waiting.

Flowergal..Are you taking Arteminisin via the Dr's advice? Just wondering because when I asked about that last week he said I was not ready for that yet. Currently 5 mos. into treatment.

Jetfan yes started it in March. Think that combined with the other two ABX brought back my headaches although the last few days were ok. Hope this brings me closer to finishing ABX as now my teeth are being affected. :(

This visit I have pre-typed information and questions so I remember what I want to ask! Also I try to get the last visit of the day so he has time to spend with me.

Thanks Flowergal. Hope you're finished with abx soon too! Seems like new meds or herbs brings out new symptoms or pre-existing ones.
