Hi Prairie Wind!!
Welcome to our little community!! I agree with ToddPaul in that your test results are pretty impressive! LOL! I didn't test positive for anything until I had been on abx for a full year! LOL!
If you haven't already, it would be helpful for you to start with reading through the thread at the top of the forum titled,
"New to Lyme?...Start here!!", as it is packed full of important information, symptom lists (as Lyme rarely occurs by itself), helpful links and pdf's, how to detox when one has these infections, and a list of questions that you can ask any doctor that you are seeking treatment from!
We also have a pretty good search function on this forum to help you narrow down your search for information from past posts. We must be our own health advocates now and the best thing to arm yourself with is knowledge about
our infections and the different ways to treat them!
As for your doc saying that she would call on another LLD if things weren't like she would hope, that's not such a bad thing! If she is kind of inexperienced at treating these diseases, then you want someone who isn't afraid to call on someone else!! Although I would suggest that you check into the doc that she will be calling! No need to be ultimately treated by someone that you don't agree with their approach.
I would suggest that you take ramping up your dosages a little slower, as you have already told us that you have reacted to it. Try using less than what you did - like 1/2 a dropper and only start one new thing every three days. That way you will know what caused what reaction if you do react. You don't need to create an overwhelming herx! A herx is an overload of toxins in the body - the bacteria put off toxins as they die, and if the body can't get rid of them fast enough, it causes chaos in the body - a painful chaos! Also, be sure that you never allow a herx to stretch into days and days or even weeks. When the body is already overloaded with toxins in the blood stream, it can't heal as well or as fast. No need to make your treatment any worse or any longer than necessary!
Detoxing methods that we recommend are listed in the "New to Lyme?" thread.
The co-infections are a tricky thing to be sure! The most knowledgeable LLMD's diagnose based on symptoms (clinically) as that is actually a more accurate way than trusting the blood tests!
I mention this doc because he has a website and advertises
openly - Dr. James Schaller, a Lyme researcher and doc says this about
Babesia - "No blood smear will be positive for Babesia unless you have a profoundly massive number of infected red blood cells, which is rare. Therefore, no blood smear should be considered negative unless it has been examined for thirty minutes."
www.personalconsult.com/posts/babesia-checklist.html The best thing you can do at this point is to learn all that you can about
the diseases you have/believe you have, as information is power with these infections!
