Hi Gracelynn,
Are you finding it hard to take pills? The tight feeling around the throat can easily be caused by an enlarged thyroid and quite a few Lyme patients have trouble with their thyroid - for some it's over active and for others it's under active, which will generally indicate Hashimoto's Thyroiditis.
I remember just before I was dxed with Hashimoto's, I was experiencing some of the same things you described about
the tightness in my throat making it feel like I was "almost" having trouble breathing, and the lump in the throat, having difficulties in swallowing pills.
And yes, you can have anxiety that lasts for days on end!! I did, then I discovered that it was because my adrenal glands were really struggling. Many with chronic Lyme have adrenal insufficiency.
There is a great site called
www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ that goes over everything about
thyroid and adrenal issues, including medications and how to tell if you need to be tested. I would encourage you to spend some time reading there - it has helped me tremendously several times.
