I need to find a LLMD in NYC please help

I see a Dr. above NYC but would like to find one that treats the whole person, advise on supplements, detox etc. If anyone knows of one within the PA/NY/NJ area I may try them for a second opinion. Also a LLMD who would talk to me about how I am doing etc. he had a great assistant who would always encourage me with hope, he does not do that.

I also live in NY area. More exact, LI area. I am looking for a LLMD as well. I don't mind traveling to the city or out to eastern LI as long as I see someone who is Lime Literate. I have most symptoms that make me think it is lyme. And now my husband is starting to experience similar but less painful symptoms as myself. If anyone has any doctors please send me an email. I have been diagnosed with everything under the sun and nothing seems to work.

I need some help. I recently moved back to NYC from San Diego where I was recently diagnosed with Lyme- I've had it for about 4 or 5 years and just found out! Not surprising to most of you, but what a relief it was to find out what was wrong. Anyway, my LLMD in SD was a LLMD and gave me the contact in upstate NY, but I am looking for a doc that's closer. Any suggestions? My regular doc recommended me to an infectious-disease doc here in the city, but from what I can see in the forum that may not be the best idea. I appreciate your help!

Definitely not sure it's Lyme, but I want to visit someone who knows enough about it to put it on the radar. Last several days the front of my neck (under my jaw, up to my ears, both sides) feels swollen and tender. Sinuses seem a little tender. Had what I can best describe as a jaw spasm (like a charlie horse through my jaw to the back of my head) about a week ago. Went through a few weeks recently with a sore chest cavity with the occasional sharp pain -- but heart is fine, and that passed (I improved my diet and started dropping some weight). Got a new pillow for almost constant stiff/painful back of neck which helped a lot.

Reality is, these rotating events might be completely unrelated and caused by individual issues; I really don't know.

Would also add that I was diagnosed clinically by a LLMD in PA about 12 years ago with Lyme -- never tested positive for it but went through sinus pain, testicle pain, brain fog, horrific tingling in my legs, the worst headache in my life, eventually all followed by constant fatigue, chest cavity inflammation, and choppy sleeping. Took Doxy orally for many months and eventually broke through it and felt pretty good for a long time -- until maybe the last year. Not sure if there's any connection between recent episodes and the past diagnosis or not.

If anyone can help me out with Dr. R's contact information, I'd be a happy guy. Thanks!

gp said it was virus

week later multiple rash all over body

fever 102
muscle aches
sever fatigue
headaches
heart palls
low blood pressure

went to ER
got fever down
said it was probably lyme and put me on 200mg doxy

it's day 2 of meds

tomorrow going to gp to get referral

please can anyone email this DR. R who is an LLMD in NYC

I'm not sure if this forum is still active - I am in a desperate search for an LLMD that can treat me in or anywhere near NYC (or PA, NJ, LI... willing to travel). I tested positive for Lyme, we think it's a late stage neuro-lyme, but I have had horrible luck with rheumatologists and internists who are willing to treat me, despite a positive blood test and debilitating symptoms.
Can anyone please help?

Today I finish my second week of doxy (I am positive for lyme) and my GP tells me to go to rheumatoid arthritis dr! I know I need more meds so I need to find a doctor who will prescribe them. Thank you!

If you haven't yet, please do read through our "New to Lyme? Start here!" thread as it's packed full of important information that many refer back to time and again. There's symptom lists, detoxing suggestions (very important), as well as other helpful links and pdf's.

For information on finding a Lyme Literate Medical Doctor(LLMD) in your area, you can start a new thread titled something like:"Looking for LLMD/LLND in the _______ area." Although you will need to enable your email option in your profile in order to receive any recommendations, as we don't allow doctor's names and contact info to be posted on the forum for several reasons. You can enable your email option in your profile, under 'edit profile'. Be sure to click the submit button to actually save your preference.

You can send me an email by clicking on my screen name or the blue envelope under my screen name. I have some listings for the NY area. Please be sure to include what areas you are most interested in so that I can share the contacts as close to you as possible. No need to send you to the north end of the state if there are options within a few miles of you!

You will want to find an ILADS (International Lyme And Associated Diseases Society) trained doctor, as ID Docs (Infectious Disease Doctors) believe Lyme is hard to catch and easy to treat, and don't believe in the reality of chronic Lyme.
