I am totally new to Lyme Disease and really need help in understanding this.
The symptoms I mentioned to doctor were numbness in hands, bit of arthritis in hands, difficult sleeping. He ordered blood tests for vitamin levels and for Lyme Disease. There was also a lump in my neck, which turned out to be Thyroid Cancer, which was surgically treated out of state two weeks ago. When I returned home, the blood tests arrived. It was a Western Blot done by Quest. It came back all non-reactive except it was Reactive to B Burgdorferi 93 KD. I tried to check here and there what it meant and found that it was highly specific to Lyme and likely chronic version. So I am freaking out as I have many steps left to deal with the Thyroid cancer and now this Lyme concern on top of it. I shall certainly check with doctor, but I doubt he will know that much, as the office had left a message that the test was negative. I am not sure that is really the case if that crucial band came out positive. Any and all help in interpreting this would be immensely appreciated.
