Testing for Other Tick Infections (esp Babefor whole family?

Newbie here,
My two young sons had EM rashes, I have had flu-like symptoms, and was breast feeding my 1 1/2 yr. old daughter. So our whole family, including my hubby are being treated for Lyme.
Our local family Dr. has been great in that I gave him the Managing Lyme Manual and shared things I've learned and he has been okay with treating our whole family.

I am worried now about co-infection, possibly Babeosis. Especially since I have had night sweats and my daughter sometimes has sweats at naptime and night time.

Should I have our whole family tested? That would be 5 people, or just me and assume my daughter has it too? I would still feel horrible not having everyone tested, but am also worried about the cost. How can I find out if my insurance would cover it?

I think it would be the prudent thing to do (get everyone tested), and I don't want cost to be an issue. I really want to go with IGeneX for testing, but not sure how to go about it all with my insurance. Hoping they will cover part of it if I have my Dr. order it. Just not sure exactly what is necessary, do I call my insurance first and ask or just do it and hope for the best?

Lyme is so scary to me, I just want to be certain everyone gets treated properly the first go round so this doesn't get to be chronic and more costly down the road.

I hope it all goes well. Make sure to read up on the tests (if you haven't already, don't mean to be preaching to the choir:) and remember that the Lyme itself is a clinical diagnosis; not test based, though a positive test might incline a reluctant dr. to treat, but could go the other way, too).
I would hope your Dr. would consider treating based on possible exposure and symptoms.

My boys both had the rash, but the Dr. still ordered blood work. If I had known he was just doing an ELISA, I wouldn't have had it done as their bodies wouldn't have developed detectable antibodies to the Lyme bacteria so soon after infection.
