Protein in eyes?

I know that eye problems and vision disturbances are common with Lyme. What about high protein in the eyes? Could it be? My eye doctor said my eyes produce too much protein - the clue being my contacts get cloudy very quickly despite thorough cleaning. I usually have to remove them every couple of hours to clean them.

I read that blurry vision is due to an increase in cytokine production. Mine comes and goes, I've noticed that after I finish a round of I.V. antibiotics it is worse. After drinking lots of lemon water it gets better.
