eye problems??

I just found this site so thought i'd post.  I "think' I got lymes in the beginning of sept of this yr.  Was hunting in northern Mn.  After about 3-4 weeks of terrible headaches, fatigue, dizziness I went to dr.  I'm not sure what test it was that they gave me but the dr said I may have lymes.  She said if the score is over .8 i may have in system but they don't usually worry until it is over a 1.  Well mine was .84.  So...i assume I caught it fairly quick? Anyway she put me on doxy to be sure.  I've been on it for 5 wks now.  My headaches are better but not gone, my fatigue and weakness are better but not gone.  I now have eye problems that scare me.  I have a pressure feeling and I look tired in my eyes when I look in mirror but am not.  My vision has also gotten blurry.  I live in South Dakota and can't really find any help here as it seems to be not uncommon but rare.  Has anyone had an eye issue..if so what do I do?  Can it be corrected?   thank you!

O btw, you may want to seek out the assistance of a llmd. Low levels of doxycycline will help you but you will need higher doses for longer periods to get rid of this persistent disease. Good luck.

What is the dose of the Doxy that you are on? It's also very possible that you have more than just Lyme, as many infections are quite often passed by the insects. I know that Bartonella also can affect the eyes.

Just so that you know - Arkansas says the same thing - only it's not really rare - it's just that no one will diagnose it or treat it, so there's no one in treatment and no one reporting that it's here - but many people are ill with it! I talk to people all the time that have been told by their doc's that they don't have Lyme when it's more than obvious that they do to someone who knows about these diseases!!

The bugs and the animals that carry these bugs don't care about state lines - believe me! And since birds have been proven to carry ticks and other insects that carry these diseases, the birds don't really care about those state lines either - especially when they are migrating!

You need to find good treatment and to be sure that you are receiving treatment for a long enough period of time to ensure that you won't have a relapse and be worse off than you are now. Keep reading here or on other sites to be sure that you are getting the proper information.

There is a possibility that if your symptoms are not getting better, that you may have a co-infection or that your dosage may need to be tweaked. The antibiotics for Lyme do little if anything on Babesia and Bartonella. Too little dosage controls the infection but does not eliminate it.

I recommend that you find a copy of Dr. Burrascano's list of symptoms and write down which symptoms you have and their severity. Bartonella has a set of symptoms that mimic Lyme but it also has some that are unique. Same thing with Babesia. Having a list of symptoms will help you doctor prescribe the most effective treatment plan.

The best thing as it was pointed out earlier, is to find a Lyme Literate Medical Doctor in your area. If you open a post requesting an LLMD with the general area of where you live, someone here can provide you with the contact info for one closest to you. Be aware that some people have to travel 2-3 hours to see an LLMD.

sorry haven't had a chance to get back here. I am on doxy 100mg twice a day. Is this enough? I do feel much better than several weeks ago but..I'm not 100%. My heart has been beating a bit off and my eyes feel so strange. These are my major symptoms now as the headaches and weakness have really improved. I am suppose to go back and get retested..I don't know why?? But I will ask them about bartonella and babesia too.
If I am correct i think I've been on meds for about 6 wks? I'm scared to go off..fearing a return.
