Does anyone have this and know much about
it?
When I’m in flare-ups, I often feel too weak to breathe--especially hard is inhaling. It gets worse as the days progresses to the point where all the muscles involved in breathing (like the intercostal muscles) are so sore and tired out. My sides get VERY painful and sore.
And, I feel as though I’m starved for air or oxygen. I’ve heard other patients say that this is called “air hunger.” No matter how fully I exhale and how fully I inhale, I feel terribly deprived of air/oxygen.
I also feel as though my nasal passages are clogged up. I do use a netti pot and saline solution to
open up my congested nose. I wonder if I should go to an ENT doc??
I’m also scheduled to see an oral surgeon (learned about
from another Lyme patient) who discovered and treats airway dysfunction which has to do with the tongue getting in the way of breathing. For more info, see: http://www.oralsystembiology.com/
