It's actually quite hard to live moment by moment, not being able to plan anything because you know that you could be quite ill any given day....no matter what the day before was like.
We just have to do the best that we can....and come here to vent!!
I know for me, if it was my hubby and not me, I'd be hovering so much that - a) he would never rest - b)he'd get frustrated with me - c)I'd start hovering outside the bedroom door - d) when I wasn't there, I'd be in the kitchen whipping up some super icky tasting stuff that would "help him"! LOL!!!
Seriously, I'd go nuts if I were in my hubby's shoes. It's hard on men because they usually want sooo badly to "fix" the situation, and there is no quick fix here. It literally causes them pain (at least that's what my hubby told me) to see us in such a state, and when we start herxing - boy! - then they really start to freak!
I'm in a unique position with a very wonderful hubby who almost died due to massive blood clots in both of his legs (from hip to ankle) and in his lungs (both sides 70% full of clots). This gave both of us a view "from the other side" - and it wasn't easy to get through! Watching him lay there in that hospital bed scared the beejeebers out of me! The man that had been willing to interpret my world for me when I was too sick to do so, was now fighting for his own life!
I'm so very Blessed to still have him with me, and he feels the same with me.
