Hi Inkyoilarty!
Welcome to our community!! I'm so glad that you found us!!
As has been suggested by Mrs Pallas, if you haven't yet, please do read through our "New to Lyme? Start here!" thread as it's packed full of important information like symptom lists (as Lyme is rarely the only infection passed), detoxing instructions, helpful links and pdf's and more.
Concerning your throat issues, have you had your thyroid checked? Many find that they have thyroid issues when they have Lyme disease. You can find videos online that show you how to check in the mirror to see if your thyroid is swollen too.
If you would like to send me an email telling me where you live (state and nearest large city) I can share what information I do have with you. We don't post doctors names on this forum for a couple of reasons. One is that Admin says not to, and the other is to protect the doctors that are being persecuted simply because they choose to try to help us!
To send me an email, simply click on my name or on the little blue envelope under my name. Please include your screen name so that I know who I am talking with!! Thank you!!
The other ways to find a LLMD/LLND are:
You can start a new thread titled something like:"Looking for LLMD
/LLND in the _______ area." Although you will need to enable your email option in your profile in order to receive any recommendations, as we don't allow doctor's names and contact info to be posted on the forum for several reasons. You can enable your email option in your profile, under 'edit profile'. Be sure to click the submit button to actually save your preference.
You can email Stephanie at:
[email protected] You can also go to:
www.turnthecorner.org/ if you want to learn a little bit more about
Lyme Disease.
You can also go to The Lyme Disease Association and search for LLMD's 3 times in a month. You have to register first. Here is the link:
www.lymediseaseassociation.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=277&Itemid=74 You will want to find an ILADS (International Lyme And Associated Diseases Society) trained doctor, as ID Docs (Infectious Disease Doctors) believe Lyme is hard to catch and easy to treat, and don't believe in the reality of chronic Lyme. The ILADS site is another great place to read to get you started on your Lyme journey.
